What can you recommend me to buy local 64gb or LL USA 256gb SD835 or imported Korea set for 256gb? Oversea set confirmation not pair to Samsung pay. For me no Samsung pay is fine n single sim accepted cause i only have one SIM card only. Thanks.
In the long run an SD device is better if you're into custom ROMs. In fact Qualcomm has an ace up its sleeve but that is being blocked by Intel. Qualcomm has an x86 emulator that allows it to run Windows programs on an SD835. Intel threatened to sue unless royalties are paid. This was about 2 months ago. Haven't followed up on it yet. Too bad only US, China and one other country are getting the SD version.
Agree that the curved screen is not fully functional. I don't like it at all. It's only because the overall package outweighs the crappiness of the screen.
A screen like the V30 or G6 would have been very nice. Samsung did this with the S7 and S7e but idiots made the S7 the smaller sized one.
The price of replacement is not really due just to OLED but also all the effort for the adhesive you need to make it water resistant again.
We all know why apple cannot incorporate touch ID at the back, this is becos the back is occupied by them implementing "slower" wireless charging, and they if their design have no idea where to put it without making the back very out of proportional. imagine there is a touch ID above the apple logo
That's why they come to start brainwashing ppl that they dont need touch ID anymore bla bla..
Very well said. Too bad lolyat does not have a Like button.
Wouldn't we need root for custom ROM's or in our case cooked ROM's?
This would be for after the warranty period is over. SD would provide a bit more longevity as long as there are still developers for it. Root or not won't be a problem by then. Unless you want to try it before warranty is over.

I'm jumping ship from Apple to Android now. Been using Apple for the past 7 yrs. This year enough is enough. Overpriced and same old design. Boring.
I have a question, Samsung is known for bloatwares in their OS. Is it still the same for Note 8? I hope it won't get any slower as i use it. Currently considering Note 8 or Mate 10 Pro.
Samsung embarked on stripping down bloatware since last year. It's all good.
Is this x86 emulator only available in SD835? Does the HK 256GB version support dual SIM and microSD slor? I am interested, PM me.
Yes the x86 emulator is only available on SD because Qualcomm partnered with Microsoft to build it.
Even Microsoft is looking for an alternative hardware platform.
FYI yesterday there was also an announcement that the Intel Management Engine interface has been successfully hacked and allows full access to the hardware.
yeah. just realized that the spigen rugged armor looks like that one from Olixar and ringke. Does it mean they all get it from the same manufacturer.
On a side NOTE... just watched a video about Huawei Mate 10 Pro using desktop mode only with a cable!!! Any thoughts on why Samsung had to come up with extra hardware?
To milk more money and tout it as a unique selling point.
There are 3rd party apps that can also switch the layout to desktop mode with the taskbar etc and activates once screen sharing is enabled.
