Hi guys I need some advice here .

I bought my Apple Watch 2nd gen less than a month ago and one day the whole watch just suddenly died. I tried charging it overnight, Tried force resetting, changing cables etc all didn't work.

So I sent in the one utama's mac city for service, they filed my case as "phone cannot on or maybe faulty charger". 2 days later they called me up and said that the technicians found a hairline crack on the screen, therefore my warranty is voided. I argued back that my watch was perfectly fine when I handed it over the counter at one Utama and it might be their own negligence that caused the hairline crack. Mac city was quite persistent about it and they kept quoting that there's nothing they can do as it's apple's policy.

Additional point : the guy over the counter was pretty shocked too when I told him that my watch was less than a month old. He said this is his first time seeing such case. Usually the watch would die after six months.

You call apple directly and see? I managed to claim a new 6S+ (Berjaya Time Square), even with crack on the case and minor crack on the edge of the screen.

Seems that they not only bite the apple, but their consumer too.

I would recommend you rise the case to Apple too. They should record the physical / outlook condition when they received your unit and hand you the documents. It should not say any crack on their document. Any crack thereafter is their responsibility

Mac City Bandar Utama is bullshit, last time they also said my iPhone no warranty (void) due to laser damage on the camera lens/ sensor, but they cannot prove it

Then i go apple website online chat for support, they say can claim warranty & there is no such things as laser damage in their warranty policy.
I got free 1 to 1 replacement phone from Apple.

Apple don’t give u the physical replacement.
You need to send to any authorized service center like machines or etc...
If Apple already approve the replacement, the service center can see it from their system.
Actually you can send to any service center you like, all their system are connected to Apple.

Mac city one is a joke.

Call Apple support over the phone first

I had multiple dealings with Apple over the phone and they are always helpful especially for my Mac
