I too have severe gastric issue which lasted almost to a week everytime it attacks.
Firstly u have to determine whether is it gassy stomach or acid reflux. Cuz if gassy stomach u need to eat charcoal pills 2 hours after/before ur other medications. For gastric, usually i take Omesec from the counter. Nexium reduce acidic level in the stomach but omesec reduce acid production. Besides this, yr food intake is very crucial to stop the pain. Avoid dairy products (acidic) also avoid eggs if u have gassy tummy. Don't smoke after meal (if u smoke). Don't eat till full but breaking ur meal intake to few times a day. Don't eat oily, spicy and anything that is acidic to the stomach! Fruits are ok except for grapes and oranges. This post has been edited by off_shore: Oct 26 2017, 05:15 PM |

Potential role of probiotics in the management of gastric ulcer
"Gastric ulcers develop due to an imbalance between damaging factors and the defense mechanisms of the gastric mucosa (Fig. 2). The available studies in the literature indicate that probiotics can accelerate the healing of gastric ulcers via multiple mechanisms that involve both damaging and defensive factors (Fig. 2)." https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4906699/ Effect of probiotics on aspirin-induced gastric mucosal lesions "Probiotic mixture pretreatment attenuates the aspirin-induced gastric lesions by reducing the lipid peroxidation, enhancing mucosal sIgA production, and stabilizing mucosal mast cell degranulation into the gastric mucosa." http://europepmc.org/abstract/med/21480106 Probiotics Reduce Bacterial Colonization and Gastric Inflammation in H. pylori-Infected Mice "The percentage of mice with moderate-severe H. pylori-induced inflammation in the gastric antrum was reduced with probiotic pretreatment (71 to 29%; P = 0.14)" "This preparation of probiotics provided a safe and novel approach for reducing H. pylori colonization and bacterial-induced inflammation of mice." https://link.springer.com/article/10.1023%2...2040.c2?LI=true You get the general idea. Make it a habit to eat (real) yogurt, probiotic supplements, fermented stuffs. Ought to heal over time, assuming you avoid eating junks (soft drinks, junk foods etc.). |

Someone I know had severe gastric pains. Painkiller injections also didn't work. Went to one private hospital emergency ward at night, stupid low level doctor just give another injection, which din work.
Then she went to Sunway Hosp in daytime. Specialist said got stones in gall bladder. Removed gall bladder, now no such problem anymore. |
