3.25% pa is only applicable for HSBC Amanah Premier Account-i and HSBC Amanah Advance Account-i only?

And for these two account, one needs to attain membership for Premier and Advance, right?

If you're just attaching HSBC Amanah Basic Savings Account-i, the max attainable interest is just 1.75% pa.

Premier Membership: Maintain AUM of RM 250k or earns a monthly gross salary of RM16,500 and above
Advance Membership: Maintain AUM of RM 100k or earns a monthly gross salary of RM5,000 and above
Normal (Basic): Earns a monthly gross salary of RM 3,000 and above and holds HSBC Amanah Credit Card-i

I wanna ask if anyone is getting the 0.75% p.a. for Pay and Spend in recent months? I have paid 3 bills online and spend more than 1k using cc, but I only got 1.75% p.a. for Save.

Do you have existing RHB CASA account?

If yes, DIY online.

If no, then that's right. The only bank in Malaysia which insisted on mobile phone bill when I open account with them. And this is after I have CC and HL for 1year plus with them. Serious facepalm

I don't have any account with RHB.

I thought IC and mobile phone bill are all we need for account opening. And only non-resident need payslip. hmm.gif

I want to open a Smart Account without db card, and I don't see the option to opt-out the db card online, that's why I went to the branch.

Just reporting in. I received my 3.35%

So on 31st Jan, received 0.05% interest

On 15 Feb, received 1.80% (bonus 1 save) + 0.5% interest (bonus 2 pay)

On 24 Feb, received another 1% interest, description is REFLEX-AUTO CREDIT

I'm one of those ppl who paid 6 bills.

If you follow the T&C word for word, for those who paid 6 bills, 0.75% seems to be paid on 15th. The balance will be paid by end of the next month.

In theory, whereas, if you paid 3 bill, spend 1000 on debit/credit card, you should get the 1.5% interest on the 15th of the month. This is how i interpret the T&C. We shall see again next month.

I am not able to figure out why my calculation is not able to match the Bonus 1 (save) received for the month of Mar. I opened the account at the end of Mar.

30-Mar Deposit RM 1000
31-Mar Deposit RM 50000
31-Mar Bill 1 - RM 1
31-Mar Bill 2 - RM 1
31-Mar Bill 3 - RM 1
31-Mar Bill 4 - RM 1
31-Mar Bill 5 - RM 1
31-Mar Bill 6 - RM 1
31-Mar Annual Fees - RM 8
31-Mar Interest Credited RM 0.07 >> Correct
15-Apr Bonus 1 (Save) RM 26.49 >> Wrong
15-Apr Bonus 2 (Pay) RM 11.03 >> Correct

My calculation:
Save ( MAB x 1.8% / 365 x 31)
= 25993.04 x 1.8% / 365 x 31
= 39.74

Pay ( MAB x 0.5% / 365 x 31)
= 25993.04 x 0.5% / 365 x 31
= 11.04

I could not get the right number for Bonus 1 (Save), is there anything wrong with my calculation?

Wrong calculation.

Save = ~ 52000/3 * 1.8 * (365/12) = RM26.49
Pay = ~ 52000/3 * 0.75 * (365/12) = RM11.04
*
Oh, the pay should be 0.75, and I will be getting the remaining 0.75 at the EOM.

But to calculate the MAB, the Actual Number of Days in a month, do you mind sharing why it's counted as 3 but not 2? It should be 2 days (30th Mar and 31st Mar) right?

MAB = Total Daily End Balance / Actual Number of Days in a month
