QUOTE(gapnap @ Apr 18 2007, 10:31 AM) and..the sad part is ..squier sucks i prefer ibanez +microcube combo.. quoted for truth. at least ibanez is still ibanez(even gio). unlike epiphone and squire. ibanez all the way, even though i'm no longer an ibanez guitar user(still use the amp though). QUOTE(limjix @ Apr 20 2007, 08:23 AM) Do you guys think the sound of the SX is as good as a fender? well, you don't really have to think about it. it's pretty obvious. even squire does not sound like fender, how can a cheaper version sounds better? u get what u paid for. unless of course u mod the SX with better electronics. even then it can only get close to real fender. SX has good construction, but they use cheap electronics just like other cheap guitar. This post has been edited by zeroglyph: Apr 20 2007, 10:15 AM

QUOTE(limjix @ Apr 20 2007, 02:24 PM) so ur saying that SX is abit better than Squier but it cant be the same as fender unless i mod it? for the price, yeah. squier and epiphone construction quality are steadily declining these past few years, but the price remains the same. SX is cheap. cheap stuff are made from cheap materials, that's a fact. you can't expect cheap guitar to compete with high end stuff. but if you choose an SX carefully you'll get a gem for your money in terms of build quality. just some changes to a better parts(tuner, pickups..etc) and you'll get guitar that will hold its own. not as good as fender, gibson or high-end ibanez, but it will be just as playable.
