Anyone has that new patch which adds new maps and 3 new chars for multiplayer?

finish this game in 5 hours '' include movie , how about multiplayer , is that nice?

hmm...how to get pass green-eye, blown out all the huge pimple like things on his back but still cant kill him lehz =/....anyway used all the ammo lying around ade x_x

after u blow out all of those that are at its back, 4 more will appear at it's head. Shoot the 4 then a bigger pimple will appear . Shoot that.

yoz, im having the same problem as u too. thats for win xp, but when i run dx10 on win vista, no crashes, juz performance decreases (due to dx10 of coz)

my spec only run 20+- fps

even set at 1280x800 at all low reso

Ha?? That kinda of amazing rig and you only got 20+ fps??

What Windows are you using??

Me only at E6850 + 2GB RAM + 8800GTS and I get around 45+ fps in Windows XP.

heh... coz u playing easy/normal mode, try the extreme mode... it's insane... i doubt if any1 tried? There's no signpost and 1st boss there no VS to use =.=""" i cant get through... manage get 50% of boss life only any si-fu can teach how?

izit ide hdd will limit my transfer speed thus cause all slow down...

wah extreme mode? thats must be very hard. the boss must be keep shooting missile. and the laser. the laser damn pain.

tried the game today on my rig, dx9 on vista no problem as i using x1950xt, playing @ 1280*800 resolution with some effect set to high and some medium... nice graphics... gameplay is quite good also...

LoL.. finished this game in about 5 hours and 30 minutes. But haven't tried the other difficulties yet.

wah this game is super duper high graphic requirement! I have to tune everytihng to low and medium but still not that smooth.

I dunno why those game port directly form Xbox like Halo2 also, even I tune every setting to low the game still not run as smooth as other pure PC game... ... (Scare later the game will laugh at me when reach some screen with lots of objects and effects...)

It looks OK when i played using DX9 WinXP with maxed details.. but when i play it using DX10 Vista with the same setting...
I CANT BELIEVE IT!!!
Even my PC also got movement delay with a bit slow motion.. Could it be DX10 problem or IT IS really my PC cant handle the graphic details.. !?

does this game support 5.1 sound? I cant hear sounds from my centre and rear speakers.

i doubt its ur rig's problem. Its more likely the immatured DX10 drivers and DX10 optimizations.

It runs 5.1 natively on my rig.. dont even have to set anything up

yes supports 5.1 fully (on my x-fi and gigaworks)

hmm.. just one thing i noticed with the graphics settings.

Just in case some of u guys didnt notice, the setting that affects the performance of the game the most are as below, from the highest impact to the lowest (please take note, this is DX10 mode, but i do think its applicable in DX9 as well though..)

1. Shadows - Surprisingly, i never thought that shadows can pullback my framerates this badly.. setting from high to low gave me additional boost of 20-30fps. Set this to low, basically, you wont feel much difference with high, but it gives alot more fps in "low".

2. HDR - well.. medium is recommended, still gives pretty good effects even if not set to high, as the matter in fact, in high settings, certain glow scenes are overly exagerated.

3. Effect Volume - still looks great =)

With my current rig (in siggy), im able to enjoy 80+fps in all high setting with 8xAA and 16xAF. All is set to max beside shadow(low). With shadow set to high, i go all the way down to 40fps...

Basically, "Visually" you wont feel any lag as long as around 40fps is presense, however, mouse movement isnt as smooth as anything above 50-60fps.
