Still waiting my white to arrive from techbug. Seems like got delayed

Hey guys, I'm total noob when it comes to customs and stuff. I have got a friend in states and he's ready to help me buy and send Pixel 2 XL. But he asked me "what about customs in Malaysia?" To which I've got no idea. So I'm asking your help - what would happen if he was to buy one and send it to me through courier? Would I need to do some customs clearance stuff or what? Please help me. Never done these stuffs before.

4 weeks after upon receiving the pixel only. google will give the redeem code to techbug.
so expect for 2-3 months time only those pre order from techbug will receive their google home mini

they provide but extra shipping fees required. when i enquire abt it on oct 12.

say, if i got a friend of mine going to states soon, can he bought it off the shelves anywhere? or he need to buy it online via google?

if he can bring it back undetected by custom.. will it be any issue later?

Best Buy physical store it is. Check kaw kaw on the spot because you could replace instantly. If order through google then there is a waiting time to do RMAs.

Dealing with him seems smooth and he respond promptly. Just sometimes he does reply a bit late but u know la he deals with a lot of users here so it takes time. Wont be using my unit yet until my case and SP arrived

Best you return you phone with RMA process .... i believe it is the uneven distribution though the LCD...this one had been reported before but in XL devices not normal pixel 2 devices

Case is on the way as well, last saw update it is release from custom yesterday.... Should be very fast but the phone will reach my hand first then only the case but both are very close.... Before i love it, i need to inspect for any abnormality defect... buying pixel 2 xl is like gamble nowadays with 50 / 50 chances 

Hmm, probably you need to address the battery calibration to google....
5 hours SOT seem not bad but those usage are light usage and turning 4G 24/7 on is quiet common nowadays even i alone does turn off my 4G ever since my telco had upgraded the capacity.... the only thing i did was restrict apps from using 4G without my knowledge...

if u buy fr T&L..so 2nd yrs onwards....send back to google ourselves if there's any problem...can be done?

do u all think pixel 2...with its bezel....still OK to buy??? hehhee...of course...it's way more affordable too.....i'm also itching to get one but since i use phone for a long time...just worried after a while...the phone will look really dated...when apps all move to 2:1...n other ppl ...even cheap phones....all comes in 2:1.....

You just answered yourself hahaha. With the Pixel 2 design I’d rather have the Pixel 1 instead. Looks so much better but just for the looks lah. Specs and hardware different story, can go few years ahead.

If you're trying to be sarcastic, you might want to re-read my phone settings and mix data usage behavior.

I did not set all primary functions off. Its merely a personal choice to keep the key essential settings on while others are turned off.

On hindsight, Android 8.0 with stock settings does performs wonderfully in optimizing app battery consumption usage while limiting background apps. There's absolutely no harm in further tweaking/disabling some underutilized apps (i.e Allo, Duo, Hangouts, etc) or settings (i.e ambient mode pick up to read, etc).

Yeah that what i though too because it took me a day after receive my pixel to get the latest OTA patch for the saturated mode and other fixes when it should had been instant once i click to check for update on their page.... that weird....

Files Go just a maintenance app...not the file explorer where you can go deep root into devices

Try some experiment on the blitz wolf charger with qc3.0 .... ironically, it only stated charging....if i used original pixel charger, i got charging rapidly.....pixel charger cant be qc4.0 right....
I used total commander... i think it is pretty good file explorer

any of u tried using those bumper case? like rhinoshield? OK ka? since it's grippy...considering getting a bumper instead....

haha taking out the bumper out of dbrand skin most likely will tear the side. unless you're very carefully person with high luck rate.
