 Legal and stamping fee for tenancy agreement

Hi,

Just want to check am i getting conned by my property agent. My rental is RM900 a month and its a 1+1 contract.
But he is charging me RM500 for the tenancy and stamping fee.

But i checked online also about RM300++

Paid deposit of RM900 and if don't sign then will lose the money. But can't help feeling like i'm being conned.

Ya got sign a letter offer, which states how much is my rental and utility deposit, and how much i've paid them. if I'm not mistaken didn't mention anything about tenancy agreement and legal fee cost. That one, the agent just quote it to me.

The agent is somewhat forcing me to pay the RM500. They will send me a email copy of the tenancy agreement before i sign. But then, is there other way to do it without getting con by the agent?
