Dont see how the country can afford interest hike esp current poor economic situation

Esp US just plan to hike 2 times this year.

So my bet this year wont be any hike.

Unless bank subsidize borrower or liquidity tightening is temporary, loan interest rate has to be higher than deposit rate.

Some of the FD scheme are only giving good rates for the initial period. Subsequently it will drop back to the standard rate.

Latest interest hike (after the 0.25% hike back in early 2018):
CIMB by 0.1%
Bank Muamalat by 0.11%

Heard rumours few other banks will follow increase but no official news yet from other banks.

I just correct the perception of someone said fd is going to hit 5% soon.

Cimb already offered such rate few months back .but its not as straight forward as rock up to the bank and open the acc.

And tis month another local bank terang terang offered 5%.

Sori info not directly from me therefore cant simply annouce here.

Pls mind yr language.....i did say i cant annouce which bank when i made the post....if you cant accept this just ignore my post.....dun need to insult me.

Some 150 properties were auctioned at the 90-minute event.

A RECENT property auction fair for a bank attracted more than 100 bidders for 150 properties.

The unique part of the auction is, it was held at night.

It was the first property fair held on such a scale and total sales was RM10mil worth of properties nationwide over 90 minutes of bidding.

The auction conducted by Ng Chan Mau & Co Sdn Bhd for RHB Bank was held at their auction hall at Megan Avenue 2 Kuala Lumpur.

“This is the result of our 40 years of goodwill reputation in the auction market, as well as our strong marketing and customer service.

“Although the property market has generally soften, I think home buyers and investors will still buy if the property and price is right,” he said.

Low added that he was also happy for the bank because their efforts and hybrid auction platform delivered a fair selling price for the bank and their borrowers.
