I'm getting tired of instancing that I'm seriously putting aside my fear of PvPing to try to get some of the Arena rewards. Even the thought of going through Heroics is putting me off a fair bit. Problem with being a resto druid sigh - so gimp that I can't even DPS/Tank anymore. Bleargh.

So,

1. How easy is it to get 1000 arena points for a beginner PvPer? Say if fighting a few matches a week, all losses (extreme example).

2. How long before the Gladiator set series is over? I read that Blizzard has 4 other sets available. Is it every 3 months since there are 4 sets in all or...?

3. Out of the 3 arena matches (2v2, 3v3, 5v5), which one would be easier to win?

1. You probably cant gain much from having losses, need to win some to hit a good rating value. 1000 points a week is definitely tough. 1500 rating nets you 400 points and if you start at that, you need to play 10 games a week to get points. Assuming you've lost all 10 matches, you'll drop to 1.4k rating and u'll get about 380 points. . That'll take you 3 weeks to get 1k points, but to get something decent i'd aim for 1.8k points to buy the best pieces first (head / chest), not the gloves or shoulders~ As you gain higher and if you maintain your rating by just playing 10 games a week, the points will roll in. Our 5v5 team stand to gain 953 points this week for a 1938 rating, and that's because we won 10 games and decided to play safe and get that points instead of risking losing one game and drop more rating :S Always easier to drop instead of climbing up!

2. You can continue farming the armors even tho the season is over afaik. Not too sure about other sets but the gladiator set is strictly for pvp mostly. Altho as a pally the crit bonus is pretty good if you dont have kara gear~

3. 5v5 would be the easiest to win if you have a balanced group of 5. Plus you get the most point too i think? Not sure about this but i find 5v5 is probably the most balanced fight where certain class wont be too overpowered.

1. how much can be earned if winning every fight? min. 10 match a week.

2. hmm...ok. i was reading up on the Arena details on the WoW site and it mentioned  a total of 4 different sets.

1. This would depend on the other team that you played against. If their rating was way higher and you won them, you'll gain a lot more rating. If you were to play against someone way lower, sometimes you might get 5 points , or in extreme cases, 0 rating. Essentially you can actually play 10 games, winning 5 and losing 5 and gaining more rating (if those 5 wins were against higher rating teams) compared to winning 8 (vs very low rating teams) and losing 2 (against low rating teams), you might end up losing more rating points. (because losses were against teams with very low rating compared to yours)

yeah, agree with you regarding the rewards. i'm actually not after everything, just some of bits and pieces, like what raptor mentioned.

plus i'm not sure how far we can proceed when we start moroes tonite with the gear that we all currently have. i'm sitting that fight out atm and letting our holy priest and pally go in tonight.

your warrior, priest and mage will prolly hafta spec pvp to do arena. I was on pve spec till we hit 1800-ish, then i had to respec to pvp too. Over time, we could still stay in pvp spec and do kara at the same time because we have another warr who'll MT (and be the prot spec).
