It's here!!

King of Glory (Chinese: 王者荣耀; pinyin: Wángzhě Róngyào), also translated as Honor of Kings and Strike of Kings (later changed to Arena of Valor), is a multiplayer online battle arena published by Tencent Games. In July 2017, it was reported that the game had over 80 million daily active players and 200 million monthly active players. It is the world's most profitable (top grossing) game and most popular free-download app. Arena of Valor (formerly Strike of Kings), which has other names in some markets, published by Garena in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and some Southeast Asian countries, by Proxima Beta in Europe, and by Netmarble Games in South Korea, is an adaption of King of Glory for markets outside mainland China. The game is developed and licensed by Tencent Games with the same engine, design and music composing team. However, the in-game characters have been swapped from characters inspired by Chinese folklore and mythology, to characters inspired by European folklore.

Woahh this one is definitely a good news haha
And I think they can work on the font style in the game, if you play the Taiwanese version the font is kinda nice compared to English one.
It is just my opinion.

u found the wrong version i guess ... type Garen Aov - Arena of valor then u should be able to find .. u need to scroll down as in the apps doesnt appear on top

dodge their charge atk

once you get combo-ed, its pretty much fucked up for you haha

coming back in this game is kinda difficult if your opponent is well farmed, lane mega creep instantly when the lanes 3rd tower is down, nukers pretty much fucks you up if you dont have proper arcana or defensive items, best is to practice dodging their moves and watch the map

looking at Mganga and Kahlii

i might also wait for Alice or Diao Chan to be on sale, how useful will gems be in the future?

if you see... currently, not much use for gems.

so for me... i would go with:
1. buy promo heroes with gems
2. then buy promo heroes with coins
3. then buy regular heroes

i suggest doing new user quests for free heroes -- 6 games for 2 heroes daily. 3 games per hero.

Which one is considered promo? From what I can see, most of the more recent ones are cash or gold walled, gems itself can't really get alot of heroes lol

so safe to assume gems are more expendable than gold? Thx for the reply, was fun playing with you and your friend at event! Maybe we can hook up for a game or 2 sometime

as shared by other members... the promo ones are the ones with the number of days... that's the days the promo will end. i think they have 2 tiers -- 1 week and 1 month. if you're into collecting heroes buy them at this discounted price.

gems... use them if can. only can buy limited heroes but better than using coins. reason being that gems (the red thingy) have not much use after that. so far, can only buy double EX cards.

coins... can buy more heroes and also things like arcana.

graphic wise also... depends on individual. i like both... they have their own uniqueness.

AoV seems more detailed and realistic, which is nice. but MLBB... chibi/ cute. also nice.

but ya... the observation about cannot solo on AoV is true. you need good team play. and so far, game is quite balanced. right now in MLBB, meta is still mage... very OP. right?

arcana makes different on early game .. some pro advised we should spend on arcana instead of heroes .. since the server giving out a lot of free heroes

still new to screen recording and uploading to video. so, no audio for this.


and still learning the ropes. hope you guys enjoy the 3v3 with Thane and playing with public.

battle starts at time: 1:50. but you can see that I chose Thane based on what I see the others have taken. felt we needed a warrior/ tank.

forgot to show detailed stats... but Thane took about 40% damage. that is what tanks need to do. and the point also being... need to adjust hero according to team. balanced team will increase chance of winning.

the video shown was with bluestacks 3, it has nice control but no smartcast skill, im using a china emulator now, move with right right click, cast spells with binding keys, also have smartcast mode(like holding down key, aoe /direction of skill can be controlled by moving mouse cursor, then just release the key it will activate

well the school kids has finished their last term exam and it's almost near their school holidays. I start to think many kids start to use the internet till the bandwidth speed had been split till every internet user got less speed than the usual we have.. just my theory..

i suspect the AoV server is not really coping. when game first launched, i was able to play fine. then one week later... it started to get worse.

now, during "peak" time, it gets unbearable. i think that's coz everyone is like trying to play.

can only hope Garena works on the server/ bandwidth ASAP.

the responsibility of server stability is on the provider

if you are gonna make a game for ppl to play, make sure you can handle the stress and maintain a good service, some players are paying them for it.

Last time Mobile Legends also same issue. When I start to see more pinoys play, the laggier the game becomes. Just my observation and not an accusation.

In ML, this can be fixed by using VPN but I tried for this game, helps slightly only.

yes, it's the official licensed version.

unfortunately, the servers are not linked like MLBB. in our case, the server caters to only MY, SG and PH. so, we meet only users from these three countries.

Aiya no need to root or emulator la, just buy a new phone with a better GPU. Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8 can support 60fps. Don't know Galaxy S6 can or not. If you notice, his phone is not even powerful enough, can't stay consistent at 60fps, keep dropping. Even the video record itself YouTube recognized as 48fps only lol.

Tired of local game server. Bad experience with Garena, Cubizone, Asiasoft, etc. I watch my wife play it and she keep on getting MVP. My wife said there are more noobs than the original Chinese version of "King Of Glory".

Local server with ping rate of 100+ms. What is the point? We should be experiencing 40~50ms of gaming experience. Sometime it hit up 200ms.

Do mind that we're sharing the server with Indo and Philipines (which sucks).

some of the more techie guys have actually managed to find out where the servers are located.

anyway, server location isn't really the issue here since when the game started, it's been good. also... for me, and a few others, it's usually only in the evening that the ping gets worse... we suspect could be due to peak period/ congestion.

having said that... i have been informed that the game currently works best on mobile networks. landlines... last i heard, they are still working with the providers to optimise traffic.

so, if wanna play, better chance you get better network if you're on a mobile network... that is... unless your mobile network coverage is bad at your place.

I really want them to separate the server from pinoy cuz of language barrier issue. Majority of them don't speak English bangwall.gif . Don't mind harder games then bunch of Alien Languages & Childish game plays from them. No offense....... bobo ako mid, ako assassin end up 3 assassin & all speak tagalog. bangwall.gif . Worst, Ako assassin. 5 minutes later 0-10 ako feed cuz u steal my buff....... doh.gif

had a better one yesterday. Team was winning, then suddenly 2 of them started talking in their alien language. Both since then just talk nonsense flaming each other till end game cry.gif bangwall.gif
Ranked games are like casual to them i guess.

Basically, it is our country network infra problem. Imagine the internet as our highway, from two lanes becoming 3 lanes and then from 3 lanes to 4 lanes then back to 3 lanes, and from 3 lanes to 2 lanes, and 2 lanes to 1 lanes. Well, TM should do something to our infra first.

4G in Malaysia and 4G in Bangkok or Siem Reap is a lot different. I get faster speed of 4G in Bangkok and Siem Reap. Like our minister said "Malaysian prefer slower internet"!!!

they are still giving out heroes... though need to work for it a bit. last month, login daily and you get the hearts that you can change for heroes.

similar thing this month... and you can get what is possibly considered one of the Tier S heroes -- Violet.

i already have Violet, so aiming for Raz...

u all know after update we need to download the content only can play smoothly rite?...
then u can get some rewards after download u can claim the prize(crystal,skin,chest etc.)
but after i update then its gone... how to get the rewards arh?

sharing what i understand about the Asia server...

Asia is meant for some countries like Australia, Japan, etc... the countries not covered by Garena AOV. officially, Garena AOV will still be the apps for Malaysia, etc...

as for the Asia server itself, i seldom get RED ping or spikes. usually when it get, it's due to network congestion rather than the server itself. at good times, even with just 2 bar on my network, i still get green ping results on Asia. heck, even on game main screen, i see only green. can't say the same about Garena AOV which can go between orange to red even in main screen.

in terms of heroes... Asia server uses the same apps for US and Europe. when you launch the apps, you can select which server to join. so, you get basically *all* the heroes released so far. so, it's faster than Valiant in most (if not all) cases.

game play wise... i find so far, the game play is very aggressive. of course this changes over time depending on each player's style. dun be surprised to see 3 at mid trying to take down your tower. your team better be good at reacting to such situations... else, GG very fast.

in a way, if you're used to Valiant style, be ready for change.

good or bad... depends la. i am the type that likes variation. so, this change is nice as i need to learn and adapt to the new style.

i need to add... since Garena is still official apps for MY, any contests, tourney, etc... all come under this apps/ server.

so, if play solely in Asia, they you'll miss out on all the qualifiers for all the tournaments.

if play Asia server (directly by Tencent -- need to install using APK), the same thing. i get better ping and no "bobo" business.

but having said that... Asia server... you also get really weird tactics like 3 in mid rushing at early game...

nope. it's Arena of Valor. by Tencent. it's the same version used in EU, US and Asia (i think Japan, Australia and also Vietnam).

i find this version... very fast and stable. Garena's version which is our official version... i usually get orange to red ping.

the tencent one... usually green. but player quality... about the same. you meet the same type of id10ts... smile.gif

AOV is one of Tecent game but mainly focus for outside China. It was consider as Global version of Wang Zhe Rong Yao (王者荣耀）. Garena was Taiwan based game hoster and they bought the copyright to host it for gamers outside China.

anyway, Garena MY server is closing. it will be merged with ID server.

users will need to:
* download & install Arena of Valor (for Indonesia)
* create account there
* go to: transfer.aov.garena.com
* enter the details of your AOVID (you need Player ID)

only some items will be transferred over. tokens won't be. your gems and ruby will be. along with heroes and most skins. only Arcana L3 will be carried over.

so, sell off whatever cannot be carried over so you get extra coins.

you will get some goodies once transfer is successful.

there's basically only one version now for Malaysia. look for the one with blue icon (featuring Liliana). this is for Android. not sure if its the same icon for iOS.

it is still managed by Garena. but it's Garena Indonesia. players from the previous Valiant servers were migrated over (but you had to do some things -- if you didn't, then you lost everything and need to start all over). so, this new server has got ID, MY, PH and SG players.

when you login, you will see the server name... Barataduya or sth like that.

this could mean that traffic to the server not optimised... going through a longer route to reach server.

i get that too with UNIFI... so, when i wanna play AoV, i just switch to my mobile data instead.

Basically any game server hosted in SEA is very lousy. They want to earn more profit so they use basically old server (previously hosted other games) to run their new game. That's why we experiencing lagging and delay after the game get too many concurrent players online the same time. I'm a gamer since back in late 90s. I quit AoV long time ago before they change to these new server. I didn't migrate my account too. rclxm9.gif

actually... the "new" server (indo server) is not bad. compared to valiant, i had less issues with this server.

but of course many factors come in... like what type of connection you have, location, etc...

so far with Maxis at my regular places, i usually get green ping all the way. spikes are kinda rare... unless back in the Valiant server days where it's always orange and spike is just another challenge by the game to make things more difficult.

Hi guys, is baratayuda the only server for aov mobile? My ping is ridiculously high...maxis mobile I get 200, unifi it's 250...

got manyak server but Baratayuda is Malaysia Singapore Indonesia and Philippines region. Thai and Viet got their own region. AoV got Asia serves too but lesser player and longer queue
