QUOTE(6UE5T @ Oct 2 2018, 08:55 AM) Well it's still a team sport so not purely for individual performance only. That's why team order is not banned, especially since it cannot be really controlled/policed properly anyway. Team orders have been applied countless times in any other motorsport forms too, not just F1. It's just a matter of how or when it's done. Team sport when it is for Constructors points and they already had the 1-2 positions and maximum points sewn up. I dont buy that argument for switching the drivers around.History will look back on this Drivers trophy, and if Ham wins it, it was a diminished one because he was gifted this win. |

QUOTE(adrian0229 @ Jul 1 2019, 07:04 AM) Rly inconsistent judgement from steward. SV no touch with LH in canada but got penalty. This race MV bang CL out but no penalty. And that incident is similar to the 89 Suzuka collision between Prost and senna, when senna ran into Prost to win the WDC. For me, this incident is same like what happened to Schumacher n villeneuve in 1997 when schmacher bang villeneuve out. But this decision and you knew they were dragging their because it took hours but the Canada decision came in minutes. Hugely political , red bull driver from stalled start to race lead at the red bull ring. There was no way they could do otherwise. |

Red bull car at red bull ring, Ferrari were never going to get a decision. I look forward to Ferrari running cars off the road at Monza for the win.

QUOTE(voscar @ Jul 1 2019, 08:56 AM) I remember previously Rosberg also attempted something like Verstappen did yesterday, not sure it's his car front wing broken or got penalty. Famous Rosberg attempt that time everyone said he said steer his car full-right not blocking somebody like that... He did to verstappen at hockenheim and got a 5sec penalty |

QUOTE(6UE5T @ Jul 1 2019, 09:20 AM) Yes and Ferrari chose to do their fastest laps in q2 using the softs so that's the strategy. Probably it's still correct strategy, just that maybe they pitted CL a bit too early by just a few laps. Charles was the 1 asking them if he should push at around lap 10. LolThis guy is great, his team yet to level up. |

This race was screwed by the Safety Car.
MV got what was coming to him from Karma. SV hasnt been quite the same since Hocknheim 2018. Lando Norris my fav young driver. Mercedes running away with it with RB playing spoiler by terrorizing the rest. |

Championship is over. LH can coast for the rest of the 9 races and still be WDC. MV can suck it.

QUOTE(voscar @ Aug 5 2019, 11:13 AM) lol, it's just the hunter and the hunted role reversed. Usually it's Red Bull Max always on the hunter role, 1st time seeing him being hunted! This is the reverse of Austria only without the bumper car style overtaking. LH is awesome and MB race strategy was spot on.To be honest it's due to the race circumstances with 3rd car behind so far behind to make this strategy works. Imagine if Hamilton managed to overtook Max on lap 39-40, I would bet Max would be coming in for pit-stop while Hamilton/Mercedes would play safe staying on track for lead, then it's now Verstappen doing the hunter job and next overtakes Hamilton with "worn-out" tyre at last laps. Same outcome but different winner. Ferrari sadly not at the races today. Good job by McLaren top finish 5th it looks like they're back. This post has been edited by dickybird: Aug 5 2019, 12:41 PM |
