I'd fire both vettel & bottas in a heartbeat. Bottas was beaten by someone that started on P18.

They put a sausage kerb on the inside of that corner. That kerb caused the car to fly

Other accidents caused by kerb

Earlier this year already got similiar crash in IndyCar. Driver end up temporarily paralyzed

DRS disabled for some reasons during the F2 race & it's almost impossible to overtake. Imagine if this happens in F1.... sweat.gif

Alex Albon joining Toro Rosso for next year (well deserved after good performances in F2) & Mick Schumacher going to F2. Quite a surprise after his Formula E announcement but then this is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity...

Ferrari might need to hire psychologists for Vettel. He sometimes crumble under pressure. Being a racing driver isn't all quick & skill.

Spent my free time watching replays of asian F3 winter series races & Rinus van Kalmthout caught my attention. He's currently dominating the field Schumi-esque despite racing against (overrated) Dan Ticktum (underperforming by his standards). Just the problem is he's less known because he's racing in USA. Honorable mentions to Ye Yifei & F4 SEA champion Alessandro Ghiretti for performing beyond expectations.

Actually proves Alonso still got the fire. Few F1 refugees in the race.

Alonso actually can race until his 40s (maybe even 50s) & still got the fire. It's down to physical preparation.

Have no idea IndyCar is returning to Laguna Seca this year, this legendary pass at Corkscrew never gets old.

In other news, even race-winning drivers can't get break.

The Jackie Chan DC Racing LMP2 team has replaced its entire line-up for its #37 entry in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Jazeman Jaafar, Weiron Tan and Nabil Jeffri, who contested all five 2018 WEC races in the Jota Sport-run #37 Oreca, will not continue for the remaining three rounds of the 2018/19 superseason at Sebring, Spa and Le Mans.
It's understood the change stems from Sepang International Circuit terminating its financial backing of the Malaysian trio, who won their first race at Fuji last October and lie third in the LMP2 drivers' standings.

Taking their place for the 1000-mile Sebring race and Spa will be IndyCar racer Jordan King, ex-Formula 1 driver Will Stevens and the silver-rated David Heinemeier Hansson, a former Le Mans 24 Hours class winner.

.... terminating the financial backing & (probably) channeling the funds to SIC MotoGP/Moto2/Moto3 team.

These pics might explains SIC's (read: Razlan) obsession with running MotoGP/Moto2/Moto3 team... whistling.gif

Pointless to get excited about testing. Mercedes probably doing race simulation & focusing on long-term reliability.

Looks like I'll settle with watching F2 & lower formulae on weekends again this year. Too bad need to wait until end of month for F2 season opener.

With Ferrari being useless as usual, I don't mind seeing Bottas winning the race.

At least it's 2 weeks until F2 season opener.

Sounds a bit like V8/V10. Probably artificial though.

Mick is quite average during first F2 race (despite finishing in points position). Will start tomorrow race on pole though.

Latifi still showing he's one of the top drivers in F2.
