The "G" is your gamerscore which represents how much achievement points u have obtained while playing your games. You cant do anything with this numbers, it is just a figure to c how "HARDCORE" u are in the games!

m$ points on the other hand are points that you have to buy in order to download stuff from the Xbox Live Marketplace. Things u can purchase using M$ points are like display pictures, themes, download contents for games, videos and other more.
