guys, when i want to downgrade from unifi 50 to unifi 10, i was asked to pay rm200 downgrade fee. i then ask further why need to pay rm200 since i already subscribing to unifi more than 5 years (more than 24 months by contract). they say they will escalate to complaint department to revert to me.

anyone having this issue?

because in between, u got free upgrade (not so free since they refresh your contract). but u always can complain to them to waive. never pay the penalty, just keep writing to them kaw kaw. go made a complain to tmpoint. call 100. send an email. etc

free upgrade (broadband improvement plan, announced by najib) will not refresh contract.

but hot upgrade last year or last 2 year (i cant remember) will refresh. this one is VIP5/VIP10 customer will get a call to upgrade to Unifi Advance 30, maintain price but refresh contract.

how u complain to waive it?

tM only give us 2 choices. one pay rm200 or waive it to renew for 2 years. If any case u cancel unifi later, you have to pay rm500 fine.

Your contract started when you upgrade to newer package instead of your first time subscribe to their service. I used their service like 10 years but when I want to terminate, also need to pay because I just upgrade a year before.

I share my experience. Moved to a place where they only offer streamyx and I Apply to move my subscription to new address. They cancel and waived everything. And yes I was still in contract.

Probably you can find a friend address which they don't provide Unifi service and request to move. After they waive and cancel you re apply? But I don't know if it will affect you getting the new line though

apply to re-locate your unifi move house to another area where got no unifi, then they waive la since can't do anything brows.gif

anyone got experience of cutting the service? how long would be the cold down period to reapply?
even possible to cut the unifi without walking into tmnut?

Cut unifi need 1 month cooling period for same address.. most stupid is to pay for new installation fee even your house got existing wiring. Ohya, before go to tmpoint, go have a chat with livechat 1st.. livechat cs more pro than those work at tmpoint. Go tmpoint mostly apa pun kenot attitude..

disconnect unifi and use maxis home fibre.. if x suke, switch back to unifi 10mbps..

This is why i jump ship.To maxis, when asking for downgrade, they said the lower package only for new user, exiting customer not apply

Thanks for the tips. I go thru Ask TM (Live Chat), can downgrade without hassle, as i have been over 2 years and no opt for offer package/free upgrade etc, contract fee.

Ask TM (Live Chat) proceed with my downgrade to 10mb without hassle, pretty happy customer here. biggrin.gif

Apply new line first after install only cut the old line.
