Nowadays second hand TT prices are quite tempting... Was 2xxk, now 80k can get, you know why?

The reasons i think could be loan approval is difficult, need a lots of downpayment, lesser repayment tenure, maintenance cost is high, resale value is low hence reselling it become difficult unless you let the dealer cut your throat.

If you have allocated 35% downpayment and additional 10k for initial service/part change, by all means, go all the way, don't worry so much.

Or could it be the car is bad, a lot of problem, high repair cost and etc so that's why people are throwing it cheap?

I am newbie to cars as well.

Not really, the TT (2007-2009) can be very good, maintenance is like golf MK5.

I booked an used 2008 TT earlier, but cancelled it and buy Golf MK6 instead, I like the power and the exhaust sound.

if you have the money..then why not. but if you have to get a 2nd hand, i assume that you cant really afford it. just for gaya and chick-magnet..i dont think it's very efficient for the long run.

Rule of thumb.

If you wanna get a used conti car , make sure that model have parts easily available , else to get replacement parts will burn your wallet, unless otherwise you are RICH .......... half-cut yard is a good place to source for those parts & some conti spareparts dealers will stock OEM parts too , all these is because those are "hot models" car replacement parts that are being used everyday by users out there. Rare models for example are a BMW 6 or 7 series are rare cars & stockist seldom stock them & if you need them, they gonna make an order & that would be extra cost incurred.

Make sure you have a second car readily available incase the conti need masok workshop too .......
