QUOTE(Chloise @ Oct 12 2017, 09:11 PM) Wah congrats so you're now working in SG d? Thanks. Ya, I'm already in SG. My second week here. I'm not totally fresh too. I have one year experience back in Malaysia. I think I was just lucky because they really needed someone urgently as they have a few pending projects.i feel that I'll be harder as I'm not fresh grad anymore and already have some experience here |

QUOTE(Chloise @ Oct 2 2017, 08:58 PM) Why it's so hard for me to find a planner / buyer job in SG? Try LinkedIn premium. Getting a lot offers after switching to premium.I'm doubt am I using the wrong tools or ways? As I've been applied more than 100 jobs in Jobstreet for half year already. The reason why I wanna work there is due to my siblings are work there and they really hope that I can stay together with them as well in future as I'm work alone here and rent room outside... Feel so sad and stress.... Can you guys share how you found a job in SG or help to recommend me if any open vacancies in your current working company? Thankssssssss |

Hi, my current EP application is in pending status. If I withdraw/ cancel it, will the status get updated quickly? Anyone encounter this scenario before?

QUOTE(sai86 @ Jan 12 2018, 03:07 PM) Quite disappointed with the agent and it causes some conflict with the hiring company, agent and sub-agent. In the end the offer is withdrawn. No choice need to cancel and look forward. When it goes through few layers of employment companies, a lot of communication breakdowns and there are 2 sides of story. Btw, the agent is Encora, best to avoid. |

Yea, it is cumbersome to say the least. let me share my little experience whilst job-hunting in SG. To date i hv been offered jobs by 3 separate employer. But the other thing job seeker need to secure is SG rights to work -EP/SPass/WP. If your successful interview and subsequent signing offer letter falls into the service sector, the 'rights to work' apps could be rejected out-rightly. Hv a read here...
https://www.expat.com/en/expat-mag/2444-the...ces-sector.html lastly good luck to me and jobseekers in general...cheersS |

The best way to find a job anywhere, not just SG is through NETWORK. 1 position in JobStreet or LinkedIn with >200 applicants you can forget about getting the job
TS, since you mentioned your siblings are all in SG, you should get their help to forward your CV I know one acquaintance who follow his wife furthering study in UK - he landed a Design Engineer job there. All because they network around with church goers there. It’s nearly impossible for foreigners to apply to jobs in U.K. using just M’sia Bachelor degree but he got it so easily! |
