Why it's so hard for me to find a planner / buyer job in SG?
I'm doubt am I using the wrong tools or ways?
As I've been applied more than 100 jobs in Jobstreet for half year already.
The reason why I wanna work there is due to my siblings are work there and they really hope that I can stay together with them as well in future as I'm work alone here and rent room outside...
Feel so sad and stress....
Can you guys share how you found a job in SG or help to recommend me if any open vacancies in your current working company?
Thankssssssss

Yup. It is their regulation. The company needs to justify to Ministry of Manpower (MOM) if they want to hire foreigners. E.g. I work in SG. Before I got the job, my company interviewed over 50 SG'eans. They reported to MOM that there are no suitable local candidates then only proceed to interview foreigners.

I think maybe I need to spot for those companies that companies that got hire foreigners but unfortunately I don't know which company

It's hard to secure a job nowadays especially foreigners... MOM been tightened the criteria ever year. I suggest besides jobstreet u should use other platforms like indeed(i found mine here), monsters, jobscentral.

Jobstreet will filter out all those foreigners into another inbox, which is normally not seen by default when employer login into the dashboard which makes it not so visible. No companies will tell in job ads that they r hiring foreigners, just keep on applying and they will contact you if they r hiring.

Goodluck

If you saw ads on jobstreet, try apply via their HR email as well.
They will definitely look into it rather than clicking not suitable /ignore your application at jobstreet.

As said above, the filter system in Jobstreet is a double edge sword. Good for HR/agent for ease of filtering candidates by *racist* and bad for foreigners.

Malaysian still ok la to get approved by MOM. Got special rate some more compare to other nationality.

Ya i did send to the recruiter's email but no news too.
but you got your point too that if I submit thru Jobstreet the chances will be lesser if compare to email them directly.
I'll try thru agents and see

I think it really depends on the field you are in. I applied a few jobs from Jobsdb and also gave my details to one agent. One week later, I got an interview that I applied from Jobsdb and another interview from agent. I manage to receive offer from both company few days after the interview.

Wah congrats so you're now working in SG d?
i feel that I'll be harder as I'm not fresh grad anymore and already have some experience here

Thanks. Ya, I'm already in SG. My second week here. I'm not totally fresh too. I have one year experience back in Malaysia. I think I was just lucky because they really needed someone urgently as they have a few pending projects.

Anyway all the best to you:)
