well
I had the problem like this
waslooking to a Elantra 1.6MD for 90k but no more stock
test drive the new elantra with no intention to buy a >100K car
then after that... start self reasoning to get a 100k car
then review here and there, settle for a 1.8s Civic
not gonna self reason for the TC/TC-P cause i will
then since its 130K car, can go up a bit get a accord
then top up a bit get hi spec accord, etc...
Yea but 130k is for a top spec Civic while you top up a bit is only for a base spec Accord. For me, I'll compare top spec of each model and see how much is the difference.
As for 1.8 or 1.5 T Civic, this 1 is more to preference. The 20k difference is justifiable if you like the extra stuff that comes with it. If you felt not worth or you felt the extra stuffs does not worth it then no point paying extra.
However from what I see the differences is not big except for the engine. I think somebody mentioned 1.5T is like 2.4k cc? Correct me if I am wrong.
So since Civic is more like a sports sedan car, performance is to be expected. The extra 20k (or take the non premium model which cost 14k more) is for the better performance engine

But once you choose to get the non premium model, you will have this dilemma...why not pay for 7k more and get the premium model
EDIT: Extra comparison the other differences between 1.8 vs 1.5 TCP is quite menial. Not very attractive to pay extra 20k for the stuffs below.
- No LED front fog lights
- Non chrome outdoor door handle
- No paddle shift
- Single zone air conditioning
- No auto dim rear view mirror
- Fabric seat
