Should not be oem and depending on their supplier the body kit may exactly same require extra rubber lining add glue and drill hole to fit it. So better check actual picture of the body kits installed on car itself if you plan to install it.

hi all sifus, want to check whether issit recomended to use the brake hold features?

technically speaking, when in D mode, and using brake hold, the accelerator is actually engaging while the car force the car on brake mode using brake hold. As the car is still in D mode, it will continuously using petrol to make the car forward, the only thing stopping it from going forward is the brake hold feature.

So in others words, to save petrol, it is more recommended to switch to N gear instead of putting it in D gear + brake hold right?

hi guys, i need some info and consultation.

Previously i had purchase a few LED bulb to replace the civic rear light such as Brake, Turn Signal and Reverse.

I replace all the bulb to LED except my third brake light which i mistake order the wrong one as the led bulb is longer and cant fit it in.

I did some test prior restore my tail light back in. At the beginning everything was fine until halfway in town, my dash suddenly pop up warning sign. VS system , Tilt Sensor , Brake Hold , ABS and last system check light.

I thought it was like , ok maybe something wrong with the system maybe i changed the new LED bulb. I pulled over at the parking lot and i turn off my engine to attempt reset it by firing up the engine back again.

Worst thing happened. The car couldn't detect that im pressing my brake to start. it keep on going into ACC mode and asking me to press on the brake pedal which i did. At that moment i suspecting the brake system fuse had blown, but i dont dare to change the fuse just in case they blame on my mistake.

End up i have to called the tow service to tow my car back to SC.

SC diagnose that system setting is ran out and they did mention fuse blown too.  They set the system back and changed the fuse i guess.

Here is my question, is this civic FC really that sensitive even changing a bulb could trigger the system into error? the LED bulb i did tried on my myvi still work perfectly...

p/s: the current brake light i feel it's dim... lol

to add to my question, do cars nowadays need a "run in"? i recall when i first had a kelisa wayyy back, my friends dad whos a mech was saying about running in... also when i rebuilt my previous engine, i did a run in. been years since ive talked tech about cars ever since then so any input from the tc/p owners is greatly appreciated

Finally got my car back. And thanks to the 5Y warranty - bonus: WTF side marker RM436!

Got the car 1.5tc and drive for 170km, but the oil indicator still showing dash “——- km”, does it something wrong? Or I need to reset it? SA mentioned after drive a while, then will have data show up, but drive almost 170km, still no data. Any advise from all the sifu ? 😥
