talking about bumper gap, try looking at myvi's bumper gap. even from the 1st gen myvi, very tight gap. Honda should send their engineer to Perodua's plant to learn building the bumper clip etc
*
Even my accord had big bumper gap. I consider myself this is the my last honda car. Somemore very poor nvh, almost no sound insulation material at roof and door. Can clearly hear outside noice and worst during rain, it like a viva.

Nowadays started to becoming like old proton, problem faced, get it normal excuse.

yea.. unfortunately many dont. they just hand keys, take photo, off you go, good luck.

i helped my aunt collect her car (conti), the SA is like "ohh good morninggg, come let me show youuuuu.... take photo lai lai", then right after photo, hand me keys etc and left me to reverse out of showroom (with other display cars present). didnt even mention warranty/service etc. and she had inflated the tyres to like 300psi so it looks nice in photo
*
Even my brand new car was pump up to 2.9bar from factory. Kinda high

QUOTE(james3g @ Sep 28 2020, 09:58 PM)
Actually I have been holding back for some time. Been driving my 1.5 TCP since 2017, and the cockpit noise has been following ever since.

I have send the car back to SC to fix, and everytime they claim they settled the problem but still the dashboard rattling noice is still there. Its not really as loud as to the steering column defects sound it makes, but the rattling noise is painstakingly annoying.

Sent 4 times I think, and each time have to leave the car overnight. Imagine without transport for 1 or 2 days each time. Yet, no apology from Honda on this. Sometimes I have to remind myself, paying 135K for this car and yet having these silly problem. The SC is there to do normal servicing. They are not equiped to handle delicate defects or issues. So I guess its the game of who can last till the end. If I leave the car there long enough, maybe they can really fix it. Question is how long? And how about me without transport to work? How long can I tahan???

Yup, some might come replying: if you want better car, dont drive a Japanese. But, seriously? Why we have to live with dashboard rattling sound? Why making cars for so long and yet silly problem like this?

Seriously tiring with all these nonsense. Every f**king day have to put up with this. Such a disgrace.

it normal for honda car for dashboard/ interior parts rattling. mine accord had near gear console & door trim rattling like hell last time. I believe due to low quality material or cut cost practice on our honda malaysia? NVH is kinda poor and some accord owner shown the inside door trim & roof which installed with a very Minimal insulation material.

btw for rattling, mine was kinda resolve at Global Amity Bangi SC but need to send there during weekdays. I believe this is the last Honda model car atm due to low quality parts. Wait till the Brake juddering issue come out which also due to poor quality brake pad at RM700/pair. Mine resolved by changing aftermarket brakepad. dry.gif

For NVH, even KIA, Toyota, Hyundai or even newest Proton had better NVH than Honda. Based on my Socar frequent user experienced

Yeap, like all products, everything is a gamble and the only thing that changes are the odds.

If you go for a premium brand then the odds of you getting a problematic unit is lower and if you go for a more mass marketed brand then the odds of you getting a issue laden product is much higher.

perhaps the only real difference is how the brand treats its customer. Honda Malaysia used to appreciates their clients but now, they treat their clients like street rats looking for advantages which cannot be blamed because it seems that no matter what they sell, people buy.
*
Yes these days all feedback like old Proton, its normal one. Come on, driveshaft leaking still said its normal at honda semenyih sc. Which I had claim 3 times at New Era Kajang Sc for my driveshaft

What we want if the car indeed had problems, in this case rattling issues, please have some time to repair it. One forumer had his bmw stay sc for 2-3 days repair his rattling noise. Honda : it normal, we dont hear any rattling.

Anyone already changed their tires? Besides michelin ps4, any other tires which are an upgrade from its stock mc5?
*
Continental mc6. But saw real user reviews on fb, it good on dry but poor on wet. Best value for money will be Hankook tyre

I will try to avoid mc tires, as it is very noisy when driving on cement surface like basement carpark. A simple turn will produce a high screeching sound.

Any comments on bridgestone re004, michelin primacy 4 and yokohama advan db?
*
Re004 iinm don't have 18" tyre. But once use ps4, i keep repeat it due to better grip on rain

Ic. Vtec plate for 1.5T is tipu 😂 thats y i thought NVH is so good that i cant hear the sweet vtec roar

From Mr google:
"The manufacturer did not apply the true Honda's VTEC for the 1.5-liter turbo engine - there is no variable lift mechanism, only dual VT?. Only the 2.0L VTEC TURBO has i-VTEC (intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) with the dual VTC."

Surprisingly the 1.0T come with VTEC and Turbo

Er,,to me the new 2022 civic is too conservative. not that nice.. what you all think?  brows.gif
*
Similar approach when civic 9th gen was launched. As 8th gen was considered successful on sales, they put conservative approach on 9th gen
Current gen also can consider huge success vs 9th gen, believe this upcoming gen will have similar fate as 9th gen civic.

Planning to do soundproofing for front tires / fender for RM450

Anyone had done it before? what's your view?
*
Being a Honda car with not so great NVH, if it me, just live with it. Not much improvement can be made via soundproofing on tyre fender alone.

*
Normal practice by sc. I even scolded sc sales guy for mentioning that my car need those fuel additive by honda. As he said fuel quality in malaysia is poor.

I said it is now Euro 4M had massive upgrade vs Euro2. Then all brand had it own additives package already.

They he sold me the car wash. I tolak since from my look it very cincai cuci one

in an ideal world there should be no gap. but in Malaysia, we can only dream of this. pics taken from Honda US forum.
*
just weird the Honda melaka QC can pass the poor quality fit for most honda models. iirm there are also people complaining about the gap of the dashboard to car body especially at the side for this civic model.

Their after sales service is really poor and irresponsible. Seems like not only me who encountered this issue. Most owners face this type of problem.

I had faced the same situation during warranty claim, 2 times inspection but the report is "no abnormal". Wasting my time only.
*
I suggest when u go to regular sc, get contact of one sa that u prefer. Any problems u faced, send him whatapps video then he can straight away log and order parts.

My 2020 FL TCP getting fuel consumption of around 10-11km/L as shown on the speedometer. Is this considered normal for around 90% city driving with <2k rpm most (I would say 95%) of the time?
*
I guess it normal. My friend civic around 8.9-9.5km/l on meter. I believe the fc for turbo car, it really give great fc at very minor window, ie at highway constant speed only.

Guys. Where to buy good or performance tyre cheap other than oscar? Can share contact? Im looking for suv tyre for other car
*
From my survey, throughout kl or Selangor, only oscar give best cheap price and brand new tyre with check in manufacturer date. Or try survey lazada and buy those tyre coupon there.

But from my checking, 18" tyre, oscar is cheaper.
