hey all. i need your help/advice on something. i'm thinking of upgrading the hard drive on my macbook, from 80gb to maybe 160gb. self-install/upgrade. my question is, if i install the osx on the new hard drive, can i still get updates and do apple still consider the osx i've installed as the original copy? thanks in advance... smile.gif

it can ....just pop in back the restore disc and it will restore OSX back

if you want to clone it , its no problem..buy an external usb enclosure , and use superduper or so to clone it back , so it will be a 100% clone of your original driver. I did the same for my mac mini.
