hey all. i need your help/advice on something. i'm thinking of upgrading the hard drive on my macbook, from 80gb to maybe 160gb. self-install/upgrade. my question is, if i install the osx on the new hard drive, can i still get updates and do apple still consider the osx i've installed as the original copy? thanks in advance...

yes, since u install from ur original cd, right....

it can ....just pop in back the restore disc and it will restore OSX back

if you want to clone it , its no problem..buy an external usb enclosure , and use superduper or so to clone it back , so it will be a 100% clone of your original driver. I did the same for my mac mini.

Haha.. I had my hard disk upgraded to 120GB and now i am disappointed.. I want 200GB, my studio friend borrowed me mac, and installed Final cut studio.. and, i only have 2GB left hahaha... maybe shud remove my bootcamp vista...

wow, really? i know you can't do that with windows...even with ori cd, there are limitations. another reason why i'm loving mac...

ofcourse la... u must buy xp with license... if mac.. no need license coz.. usually u buy apple...only got the mac.. hehe..in other words.. Mac is only for Apple.. so.. u pay for the license with the hardware price la.. hueuhe...
