i just take them out for a short run near my house..at sg.ara..cause don't really have much time..any suggestion where to take them walk..cause normally penang seldom hav place to let them hav fun...but i do bring them to a nearby waterfall to play also..but not so often... how bout u??

Hi..I'm Peang people!

Just curious, since penang is a small island, so mostly are apartments and condos. Is it officially allowed to keep pets??
In KL, i think all aprtments and condos are not allowed, how about pg?? |

Try la.I bought my corn at tanjong tokong only RM350 then try bargain until get 330.At cty akurium i see cornsnake is about 400 but i think get 10% off.Stiil the petshop tanjong more cheap.Leet where do you live?wanna see ur Ts la hehe

Hi, anyone can help me where to get cheap boarding for my cat? Usually I put them at "Peng Aun Clinic"(Sg Dua) Cost RM8/ per day. But right now that clinic charge extra as claim they need to put tick medicine, which cost RM15/ per pet. So total is RM15/ + RM8 = RM23 per day. The tick medicine is last for 1 month. I found it the cost of board is very expensive, can someone recommend me to a better shop?
Of cuz the service must be good. Some pet shop need to see the pet behavior 1st. I dun like this kind of shop, as this is not the correct way to do bussines. Pet shop should be a per lover, regardless the pet is naughty or good. Thanks all... . |

Last time when my "Rourou" still young n small, i always brought her to Prangin mall with secretly kept her in bag and let her head come out so cute. Alot peoples thought thats a toy ^^" And i always bring her to Kota Convalis beach there. Remember got one time, we at there fishing, and caught 1 little crab, she go and chase the crab, in the end her nose got bite by the crab

I got feed 4 tortoise,which 2 size is small and which the other two is smaller(very tiny,bout a thumb size only).. I will post my little cutie tortoise next time... Hope they can mutate,so can b com ninja turtles:bruce:..hahaha |

Hi buddies!! Just arrive.... Newbeezz here!!! So don't bully me....!!!! Oh hoo.... also a Penang crazy bugz and I have 2 doggies (1 around 9-10yrs old age, 1 around 8 months old age which he adopt from SPCA members house) -planning adopt one more husky puppy, 2 & above cats (originally feed 2 cats and others run from neighbors), nano aquarium, 3 feets fish & plants aquarium, 1 tortoise, 4 hamsters. Hope to know sweet pet lovers here.....
 By the way I looking for a school of Neon Tetra fish and estimate needs 50 - 100 pairs. Does any forummers have ideas how to contact those Penang/ kedah fish breeders/ where about is their location/ how much will charge if purchase in those quantity? I wanna look for more neon tetra fish in my aquarium. Hence also looking for either new/ secondhand/ Refurnishes CO2 tank . Does anyone got any contact of those fire extinguisher shop/ refurbished tank in Penang, that willing to sell those refurbished unit? Thks |

This is not insect.. they are under arachnid.
It is venomous of course. It will bite if provoked of course.. same goes with other pets/animals as well. |

He was building a new Goat House (kandang kambing) for PDC Agrotech in Juru (the site was palm oil plantation before). The workers cut the palm trees, and caused the nest to fall down to the ground. The Mama ran away. Even the workers tried to put the nest on the other tree and waited for the Mama to come back, the Mama never shown up. So my bf had to find a new Mama for the babies.. and it was me! When they arrived, they havent open their eyes yet.. They slept all the time and woke up during feeding time only.. Of course they need special care since they was still small.. I had to feed them 4 times a day.. My vet recommend me to use this formula for feeding - . I had to keep them clean n warm since they urinate a lot and wet their whole body. Before feeding, i have to wiped them with wet towel, and dried them with warm towel (i had to iron the towel!) to avoid them from hypothermia (Remember this - we cant feed a cold baby animal, this might kill the baby). An infant squirrel should be stimulated to urinate and defecate every time you feed it. Failure to do so can cause uremic poisoning. Just pat their genitals using a warm and soaked toilet paper to stimulate them. They slowly reduced their milk intake by themselves.. At this stage, i fed them with chopped banana n apple. Actually i dont know their exact age.. i just assumed their age by refer to a chart i got from internet.. (Cant remember where i got the chart). Rearing them are not easy.. Squirrel are not a suitable pet. They're a bit high-maintenance. Have to clean their cage everyday.. They're more stink than having 10 hamsters in a cage. Since i got them from infant, they're tame, shy and gentle.. They love to climb on me and clinging to my arms and legs. But i must wear a long sleeve jeans jacket to handle them. Their claws, OMG.. They make me a new deep scratch and scars everyday! When they was 12-weeks old, i wanted to release them to their habitat.. but unfortunately, the younger one always show a paralyse symptom (maybe the fall had caused an injured to him).. In a month, the younger one will paralyses for a few days.. And everytime i let his big brother out, the younger one will cried out loud. He will stop cry when the big brother is beside him. They sleep together, even there was two plastic houses in their cage. That 's why i have to think twice (and more) before let them out to their nature Here is the pic when they was 8-9 weeks old. The fur wasnt fully grown, so it looks like patches on the abdomen .. And some of their latest pics i shot a few days ago while letting them out. Enjoy~ |

tried before, but afraid might hurt or injured their legs.. they cannot sit quitely.. they love to move around.. when i try to make them stay still, they'll struggle alot...

i agree with u, therefore u need something else like dog. hahaha... but oh well, hobby and passion is different in everyway, some like it this way, some like it the other way. =.= why ppl rear fishes? hahaha they cant even play with it, only see??? =.= same goes around... hahhaha... i rear many weird stuff, but well, its all fun and nice to see them around. but now i really gotten into snakes. cool and nice to handle. i want to sleep with them, but scared they run away. haha

Hi all, I just came back to Penang after my graduation. Does any Penangites know where to get Hagen guinea pig pellets? I've been to CTY but they don't have it there, it's the biggest pet shop in Penang rite?

Chipmunk is squarrel ? If is BM's st'anne church there, have people sell.
If is like Chip and dale, i saw BM town have one shop selling RM550. I kena bite before also. About 14years ago liao, scar still on my leg My aunt have the Chip and Dale. |

Chipmunk is wild catch, it can't be pet actually, after a while it will die due to lack of running space and the diet doesnt meet what they eat in the wild. When no demand, the hunter will stop hunting them.

chipmunks i bought 4 years ago. That time, i bought 5 chipmunks in different shops. 4 of them from a petshop in Sungai Dua USM area. Another 1 was from BM, now the BM shop close aredi. And now very hard to find chipmunks.

exactly. everyone hear snakes also get scared. they think of it as cobra, or those venomous snakes. some older ppl will say, all snake poisonous la. dont keep la. blablabla... ask them read online, as if they know. hahaha... =.=

i went to see da husky today...
OMG... so cute... so active... and their bright blue eyes... but so sad i heard one sold dee they r selling it for 2k~ with cert and chip.. to me it's hell of a deal... sumore they were born on 28/03...my bday but...haihz... wish i could own them... |

I set my civet cat free yesterday. It's kinda heavy-hearted actually... But for her own sake, i think it's the best thing to do. She lived with us for almost a year. That time she was small and injured. Now she has grown up and i hope she can survive in the wild life. I hope she will find her habitat, her companion and have her own family.
My bf and i set her free in the morning, around 10.00am. We fed her with bananas, fresh milk and some cat's biscuit before let her go. The weather was find, so we hope she'll find a place for her to shelter from rain and other predators before dark. I'm kinda wori. Everytime i saw her cage, i cant stop thinking about her. I wonder what she's doing now. What she eats today and where she sleeps.. But to keep her forever with us is impossible. She's a wild life creature. She cant live in captivity. She's hard to litter-trained, hard to tame and she's harmful to other pets who share our apartment unit (my chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits. Owh, forgot to mention, she made Momoy lost half of her tail!). She'll live in her cage for her rest of life if she stays with us. So, i think we aredi made a right desicion to send her 'home' (wildlife). I forgot to bring the photo i snapped when we set her free. She refused to go, so i had to use a stick to make she moved. She ran, climbed a hill nearby, sat at a stone, stared at us for a few seconds then ran again.. When she left, i shouted to her, "Gudbye Cinchan.. We hope u'll find a better life out there and take care!" :sigh: We miss u, Cinchan... |

Hi vakoo... good news for u and other guinea pigs owner in Penang : Oxbow is coming to penang soon, around June if not mistaken... Do ur GP eat hays? Oxbow have a lot of hays option for small animals.. check their website for more diet info.

Do you hear Pets Magazine( min cost 500 above) published by Life Publisher berhad. you can do advertising there.another is flyer for location house to house. I saw a Sg in butterworth last week in a new pet shop in Ong Yi How. RM150. One left. Adult if not mistaken. Then a chincillas-colored creature. The taukey said it is a SG, but different color. i dun believe. i think it's a chin laaa. RM300. One left also.

At Jalan Ong Yi How?? Is it the area that sells food?? Full of hawkers one?? haha.. I used to see SGs selling there in one of the local petshops...

Can anyone tell me what this creature is.. This is the one that i told u guys before. The face looks like SG with big eyes. But the eyes are white color. (looks like an SG with cataract!) And it sleeps all day..

It would be a flying squirrel. When I was working at Sunway zoo, they have 2 there. Nocturnal, and can get easily stressed in small cages. They need cages bigger than those for sugar gliders.

i wanna have all exotic pets with me one day... includes Gerbils, Sugar Glider, Hedgehog, Guinea Pig, Ferret, Chinchilla and Duprasi...So now i have gerbils d.. currently working on Sugar Glider... then will go for the rest... Chinchillas? after have my own house la... so can pasang aircond 24/7... haha |

Dunno wo got chipmunks not in penang.. But here in klang valley so much.. Breeding season just over kua.. The petshops selling for like rm138.00 each.. Last time PW in MV sells for RM78.00 each.. N the chipmunks are still babies.. Not underaged la.. But now ones like adults d.. So can they be tamed after u buy them?? Dats the problem..

I saw 2 caimans at Kean Weng.

Err.. can u guys groom rabbit as well.. My long haired bunny got matted fur.. Tried out furminator, but it wont help much to loose the matted part..

I want to recommend pet shop in penang ...hotdogz pet salon & boutique in jones road..
the price offered is reasonable and the service is 5star... i took my shih tzu there and they are having promotion rm40 for full grooming..and i am invited to their grand opening buffet!!! they have website and friendster if i am not mistaken or u can call in 0163122255 ms sherynn... * i am not owner of this pet shop.. last time i had a pincher dog, 2 tortise, 5 beta fighting fish.... few years back i gave away the dog, set those tortise free, n my 5 beta fish all gone to heaven edi... but now im going to have 1 couple of ham ham soon...weeeeeeeee~~~ |

Anybody know where can I get the beagle puppy at penang location or bm location? Some ppl have been go KW Shop before rite ? Have seen the beagle puppy at there? hi penangites... which pet shop would you recommend to get a nice pup under a reasonable price? Like some of you mentioned, there aren't many big pet shops around pg plus i'm not local... pls help to recommend, been trying pretty hard to get a pup

have you try CTY?
or do you know metrojaya in tanjung tokong? in front of metrojaya is T-junction, from the direction of the front metrojaya go strait there are right side of old houses and some of them are shops, ride on a little bit then you will see people selling alot of pets there has got a lot of dogs and other pets, if you are searching for guarantee condition pet you will have to select yourself with skill. |

Yup,I have tried CTY before...Bt there also dont have beagle... About the Metrojaya in Tanjung Tokong,I dint try before lo... and also dint heard ppl said have sell pets at there... My Breeding Pair for this season : 1 DEH male + 1 Nutmeg female = unknown Pups.. My Fat-Tailed Gerbil aka Duprasi in 2feet tank : CASPER is his name.. 
He is on the left hand side, below the water bottle.. sleeping, his favourite pass time.. My African Pygmy Hedgehog enclosure = Zoozone 2, his name is Sir Humprey

i just went to KW today and i am very surprised with the sheer size of the shop man... fish, cats, dogs...even birds... semua ada! hehe...but sad to say...mini pincher tarak...
the KW guy told me to get beagle instead if i want a good watch dog...and beagle is also medium size...well..hmm... have to consider since beagle will cost RM900 to RM1100.... |
