For me personally, what the S8 and Note 8 sales taught me over the past couple of months or so is to never buy another Samsung device via pre-order at RRP.

Totally agree on it.
Pre order with free gifts it's just the way to attractions.
Wait for 1 to 3 months later will be on sales.
Nowadays many competitive in commercial n businesses.

last time was the lazada also, throw the lowest price after s8/8+ pre-order ended
but after some time, the price increased, then everyone stay at around the same price range for quite long time until qoo10 step in with coupon to promote its website (not the seller offer low sales price)

If i am samsung, i will started to do price control over the market, the price since s8 is too inconsistent and this caused the price drop easily compare to apple. Apple done a good job on price and retailer control since long time ago. Haha

Eventhough now Q10 reduce coupon value n increase sales price.
Now online sales keeping promotion.

then some people just got their new iphone just before the price drop

huawei doing the similar control also

for samsung, at least, you know that from time to time, its price is slowly drop but it will stop at certain price range
so it is up to the consumer to decide that how long they want to wait for the price reach their comfortable price and then buy without worry too much about future lower price, cos they are happy enough to get the prefer phone at the prefer price
if thinking so much about the price drop then forever don't need to buy new phone

Apple sales n marketing always straight forward including protection value of products.
Samsung sales n marketing always fast release products including protection screen crack only but not protect value of products.

Hi Guys, regarding the purchase via qoo10, u guys bought from doughnut malaysia seller ?

So far so good ?

My preorder came from doughnut and premium gadget.

Premium gadget won as it came 2 days faster and with free additional power bank.

In general though, I feel Huawei devices hold their value a little better than Samsung. Too bad I’m not a fan of EMUI

Bought thrice from Doughnut, a S8, a S8+ and a Note 8. No issues.

Shit! Being using note 8 naked for almost 1 month. Today install the SP, found some minor hairline scratch. Wondering what I did to cause the minor scratch. Aishh!!!

Few tweeks and this is what I can come up with. No navigation and status bar actually look good.
