Which is better to use for L box light.
T5 led or led strip?

T8 for easy replacement on bulb.

T5 & LED Strip when replace have to replace whole strip/casing.

only good thing about T5 is you can easily daisy chain few T5's in series and more compact but since they are for L Box you won't be looking at it.

when you go for L Box, have you consider about dust build up & cleaning?

Personal preferences, for L-box, T5 than LED strip..😊
The light from T5 felt warm and cozy while LED are more suitable for smaller area such as staircase, display cabinet, tv cabinet, kitchen cabinet, etc.. You know where i'm going..😆

I have a few questions, for this one, the plaster ceiling is extended from original ceiling, or original ceiling also need to put plaster ceiling only can achieve this?
I also want to know what is this called? in the square box what type of light did you install to make it a long strip?

Hi, for first photo, u can have the L-box installed to the concrete (original) ceiling but if you want to have T5 lighting in the cove, my advise is to install false ceiling first..
This is because concrete ceiling normally have rough surface.. your lighting might cause all the bumps on the ceiling to be seen.. if with plaster ceiling which have smooth surface, it will have no problem..

Second picture is L-box which is fitted with T5 bulbs..

You can google L-box and found it is shaped as half box with the look of a L letter thus called L-box.. 😊 when installed side by side, it creates a rectangular box design..
