Hi. I served in the Royal Malaysian Navy base in Lumut. I just discovered that FreshTel is the ISP for free Wifi service inside the naval base. I guessed they got a contract with RMN or something.

Once I've attended a meeting in KL HQ, they mentioned something about the budget allocated for this wifi service, which I'd say very very cheap, even TM can't compete. Service is pretty good, except for some office area, covered by wifi coverage, but no connection. I've been told that there are some fibre or main switch problem. But other area the connectivity is good.

I too have never heard of this ISP nor seen any ads about services this ISP is offering to the public. Glad to know it is good company.
