however, due to partial-month period between card approval (~end Nov) until 12 Dec (supposed 1st statement), the actual statement would then be generated on 12 January instead (in essence, ~1.5 month period).

You mean first month usage not entitled to CB?  How about new card?  I just got my card approved, waiting for arrival of card, so just activate but don't use it for first month?

Ok, thanks for the info.  so means CB for Partial 1st month + 2nd month will be combined in one statement, then we'll have to remember the cap of CB RM30/card to be used for the 1.x months.

guess you didnt read the T&C thoroughly, page 4-5.

from the week you register SMS, the current and remaining weeks shall be tracked.

e.g. if you register SMS at week 20, then week 20 and onwards shall be tracked. previous weeks will not be tracked.
this is why, whether you can join a particular week or not, just spend a little time (and SMS cost) to register early in Week 1, so that the rest of the promo weeks are tracked.
