svrockstar kinda nailed it for you. . . only thing i suggest start of classical. . .
it gives you all the foundation you need to be able to play acoustic/electric/bass and the likes. . .
=)
and also depends on what music you like =D

QUOTE(the_registered @ Apr 13 2007, 03:15 AM) Ok, I also want to ask something here < TS, don't mind ar> What about semi-acoustic e.g. and solid e.g. ? I got quite a good semi-acoustic but I touch it like once in every year. Prefer my strat what semi acoustic guitar is that? if you're talking about those old school electric guitars with pups with a hollow body then those guitars are more for Jazz. . . but then again it's difference is the tone. . . and some people use them to play amazing rock and metal music. . . all depends on your tone preference. . .hollow tend to give a wider and more rounder rich full sound. . . very much jazzy and more to the low and mids. . .

QUOTE(the_registered @ Apr 13 2007, 08:19 PM) oh... It's actually a Korean made Ovation copy. My dad bought it at Guitar Collection or somewhere in The Curve. You know what model is that? What you think? do you have a picture? anwyay for that it's actually an acoustic guitar but with a pickup. . . so yea it's not an electric but an acoustic guitar

yea it's good but you must play around with it. . . still i think this is more suited for acoustic clean stuff. . .
yet don't be fooled. . .Al Di Meola uses Ovation and he runs it through a Roland GK pup with GR-20 synths. ..
sounds amazing. . .it's just that you have to use your ear and find wats right for you =)
