Last nite played gw2 and the game crashed said the memory problem

After i restart the pc, the pc boot and it stuck at scanning and repairing drive C: 0% for hours.
Try to enter the advanced troubleshoot. Tried chkdsk but fail. System restore failed too due no restore point. Window repair failed too.

i keep a System Image Backup and also a USB Recovery Drive, boot into recovery mode and then restore from System Image, it will restore everything in the OS+applications. For files i keep a File History so if any files are required to be restored it can be done this way. Done it many times even when i want to upgrade to a bigger hdd. With Windows 10 seldom have to reformat.

1. System Image Backup-control panel>File History>System Image Backup>create a system image back up. i normally create this on my external disk or can do it on a NAS

2. File History-control panel>File History. I create this on an external HDD

3. Recovery Drive-control panel>Recovery>create a recovery drive. This drive is basically if totally C have not installed a Windows OS, can also use the installation USB of W10, it is the same.

Step 1 & 2 is basically same as OSX Time Machine, only refined to restore OS or restore files

Step 3 is needed for any OS to restore from a back up image, even Acronis True Image needs this.

Have all 3 and never have to worry about losing the OS, files and even change of hardware.

PS restore from System Image takes about 30-45 minutes depends on C, everything will be back to the point of restore, i have experienced some high activity in C after restore perhaps due to index & prefetch, just let Windows do it's stuff and it will be back to normal.
