As a foreigner applying for a Malaysian class health insurance policy, the treatment is restricted to MY hospitals only.

If you go overseas, then it is not covered, irrespective of whether you pay and claim.

All Malaysian Class health insurance cannot be swiped overseas as the panel hospitals are only limited to the hospitals in Malaysia. Your premiums paid are also in MY, not US/UK.

You need to inform the Customer Service that you are a foreigner residing in Malaysia.

Initially it was covered (reimbursed in RM based on customary charges as being charged in Malaysia) but there were one too many cases where foreigners chose to return to their country after making the claim and lapse the policy.
