I used to go to the SS15 one, but the doctor over there charged cut-throat fees for a less than 10 minutes session.
Any recommended ones which are not too expensive?

QUOTE(amxpayne67 @ Sep 13 2017, 07:54 AM) How much the "overcharged" fees actually? The one I previously went too charged RM200 per session. if you google you can see there quite a number of ENT specialist around SS15 or the nearby area. I did, but many results kept recommending the one I went too. Just thought there would be people sharing their thoughts on alternatives (the ones from Sunway Medical are not cheap too it seemed) QUOTE(fkmfkm @ Sep 13 2017, 10:15 AM) Haven't tried that, but once you go for the suction, feels good mang. |

You don't need to see ENT specialist if all you want to do is just cleanup. That's something that normal doctor also can do, if he has the equipment.
I went to Klinik Choo in SS15 before, he did it for me. Was less than RM100? Can't remember, but certainly not RM200 |

Assunta PJ. There is an ENT there. Besides me, my relative goes there was well.
Very good. Explains step by step what he will be doing during examination. Not cheap, but cheaper than Subang. |

Greetings UserU,
I had ear blockage for nearly 3 months due to hardened wax. I delayed the treatment due to my anxiety and fear over the risks of possible damage to my ear drums during treatment. The steep fee at private clinics/ENT specialists was also a factor. I finally went to my local Klinik Kesihatan. It was crowded and not as posh as the private clinics/ENT. The doctor recommended an 'ear toilet' treatment, meaning it would be flushed with liquid and not ear suction as they didn't have the facilities. If situation still persists, they would give me a referral letter to the nearest hospital for the ear suction treatment, mine being Selayang Hospital. So I went ahead with the ear flush and it cleared the blockage and cleaned up my ear indirectly. Not painful at all, just a tingling pleasant sensation during the flushing. Cost of treatment = RM1/- All the best. |

fkmfkm,
Yes I used to use cotton buds but stopped some time ago. O by the way, our Klinik Kesihatan treatment is FREE actually for Malaysians. The RM1/- is registration fee. Have a nice day everyone. |

Try government hospital said something blocking you ears, then they'll give you appointment for ENT there for free (or RM5 like that for registration). But might take 2 days.
Previously I went to Kandiah ENT (KL) only charged RM100 for pure cleaning. If testing sound balance charge additional RM100. If you ask for advice they will charge another RM100. |

Just go to normal clinic, less than RM25. Why bother to go ENT just for cleaning?

For the water, use warm water that is close to body temperature. It helps to soak and moisten the compacted earwax. Took about 20 refills to finally dislodge the ear wax. It looks damn disgusting, but really satisfying when the big goo comes out. But at least it there is minimal risk using water to 'waterjet' the earwax. |

I tried cold water on my ear one time, then got really dizzy my eyes flickering. Then I realise the temperature need to be body temperature. This bottle high volume probably low pressure, so might be great idea haha |

There are some reputable kits that you can buy that are also used by specialists. Google / Amazon for Elephant Ear Washer... or if you're brave enough, Youtube for some stomach-churning results (the ear wax) uploaded by clinics and ordinary users.
Frankly it looks like a glorified (and overpriced) spray bottle with a hose and nozzle attached, and funnytone's ketchup container seems to work well for him and his wife. |
