Today, 9/11/2017 at 14:00 hr (+8 GMT Beijing), the new Mi Note 3 is released! The new Mi Note 3 inherited the flagship Mi 6's camera, but with a larger screen, standing at 5.5 inch Big!

6GB RAM / 128GB or 64 GB eMMC Internal Memory
5.5" display with reading mode
4 sided curved glass
16MP Front Camera with Adaptable AI Beautify
Rear dual camera, 2x optical zoom with 4-axis OIS
Facial recognition unlocking

In terms of pricing, the 64 GB version will set you back RMB 2,499 (around $385), while the 128 GB variant will retail for RMB 2,899 (around $445) — only the black model. There’s also a fancier blue version of the device available that only comes with 128 GB of space and is slightly more expensive at RMB 2,999 (around $460).

Unfortunately, Xiaomi hasn’t shared any info regarding the release date of the Mi Note 3 yet. No need to worry though, as soon as we hear more on this topic, we’ll be sure to let you guys know.

Processor is lower grade.
Feel like getting Mi5s plus much better than these

dafuq chipset downgrade, screen downgrade, battery downgrade but camera & speaker are upgraded.

the most logical reason for this is that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 sale are not as high as expected so they downgrade & lower the price.

Might as well call it Redmi Note 5.

They are doing smart business. For example when everybody was rushing for the Redmi Note 3 Pro, lots of praises for what a bargain with it's speedy performance and at the same time lots of complainant the whole year about overheating issue. A year later they managed to create Redmi Note 4 with the SD 625 chipset which is power efficiency and cooler than it's predecessor but drop in speed performance.

So user will need to choose either fast or cool. It's all about balance.

For instant now Samsung J + and Samsung J Pro. One with dual lens camera but 3000mAh battery and the other one with front and back camera but with 3600mAh. User will choose either better camera function or bigger battery power.

For user, it's always about preferences and for smartphone developer, it's always about balancing the choices of their product. Price always can be a factor.

+Battery sooo long lasting.. but still cant fight with mi max
+Camera sooo nice colour, sharpness, contrast, focus, bokeh. Only low light a bit noisy. Video also good. Less shaky
+Screen nice colour and brightness. Under bright sunlight also visible clearly
+Speaker sooo loud. Louder than mi max
+charge speed sooo fast. Around 1:40minutes 10%to100%

Initial thoughts.
Built quality is top notch. Very premium feel. Comfortable to hold compare to my rn3.
Yes stable Global Rom.
Very fast n snappy. No lag at all. Apps render quickly. Browsing on multiple tabs no issues. Hav'nt test on games yet. ( But all new devices are always blazing fast).
Front finger print unlock is really quick.
Bloatwares the usual with Miui.
Speakers is much louder than rn3. Loud enuff for me.
Camera. This is the best feature of the phone. It even have some good manual mode. Not all the works but iso/white balance/exposure shutter speed. Usable & of coz not dslr quality. Pics no need to upload. Someone posted already. Yes the iq is good for a phone. Video hav'nt try yet.
So far it's surprising good for my usage. Really good value.

Great. Shud get 6 - 8hrs SOT depending on usage.

My SOT after 1 week of usage n let the battery fully 'burn in'...8 hr SOT with 35% battery left...this is on 90% wifi n 10% data, really impressive...
