I have tried on Sony Bravia atv, all live channels run smoothly without lag. Mybe some dont comply..

Sorry to hear that my bro...   I am not sure if the mod tweaked for bravia only, but my friend also had a try on his cheap made-in china android box and it worked except few graphic issues.
The official apk doesnt work on mine. I think we should wait for other fully working mods some day (hopefully there will be someone who brings us good news on thjs)

Using Android boxes to install the regular Astro Go app to watch Astro from a legal Astro subscription account.

Does that makes it illegal, or still legal? 

just to share some experience on my new box HK1 S905X3 4gb+32gb

this box perform quite well and smooth for AOTG both Live channel & catch up on demand.

My previous boxes like A95X Max (S905x2) & Beelink GT-King (S922X) can run smooth AOTG as well but got 1 issue playing on demand catch up video, the chinese Drama i watched will have a black bar (like phone Navigation Bar) on top , it only appears to certain catch up drama, the solution is after the drama theme song finished, u have to quit the drama back to home screen then select continue watching then the drama will full screen without the annoying top black bar. HK1 doesn't have this issue unlike A95X Max & Beelink GT King

Another point i like about this box is i plug this box to my samsung smart TV HDMI 2, even i play other source video from HDMI 1 or HDMI3 or the TV built in apps like NETFLIX and YOutube, when i go back to source HDMI 2, the astro channel still running unlike A95X MAx will went to sleep mode and quit the AOTG apps, i have to re open the Apps everytime and go back to the channel i selected previously.

This 2 point make me feel satisfy with the HK1 like i really have Astro Decoder in my home. Just My own opinion.

Oh ya, the box itself is rooted so i have to unroot it myself using Impactor Universal Unroot apps downloaded from playstore. Simple one click then the box will restart and after restart no more detected as rooted device but is still saw the SuperSU apps, i don know whether this is fully unrooted but as long as i can run AOTG i'm done.

I somehow have a feeling that there might be 1 or few imposters among us, where the imposter(s) might be Astro Go's software development team.
And their mission is to stalk this thread very closely, get some intel and then block Astro Go access to the Android boxes as much as possible (since they can claim that it is not officially optimised for Android box use)...

The way I see it, they will charge the same for ATV version as a full satellite subscription. That's why they are killing all the android TV boxes so that the free 4 Astro Go with each subscription can only be viewed on small screens. Business mah!

Login and browsing no problem, but when i click any episode, black screen but sound is available.

Because they'd rather see customers to subscribe to an actual Astro subscription, rather than spending almost little to no money on them by using Astro Go app to watch Astro, which doesn't financially benefit them much.

Why not? If the PQ is really FHD or UHD, I don't mind. Not like the freaking lousy PQ UPB (from unifi) which is a lower quality than the white STB.

Although the box I’m running it on (in the review) is the Beelink GS-King X.
