Let's be honest, Quantum Dot on any LCD is nothing more than a marketing buzzword. It yields no significant benefits for LCD screens atm therefore you can safely ignore when buying.
Since it is end of the year, TVs are getting major discount. With a little bit of bargaining skills and discount awareness , perhaps you might snatch a top tier TV with a 7k budget.
MX950k = on par with Sony last year's X90L.
Brave 7 = an upgrade from the aforementioned models. Both brighter and better local dimming perf.
Bravia 9 = better than all of them, the best commercial LCD TV made available to date. A supernova in a living room.
QN85D = a watered down X90L, not recommended unless it is really cheap.
QN95C = Between X90L and Bravia 7. 4 full HDMI 2.1 ports making it a decent PC - > TV screen choice.
TCL C845 = Bravia 7 level of hardwares , X90L's performance.
TCL tvs = My new recommendation for ppl who want a lot of hardware but an affordable price tag. TCL TVs are heavy, from my experience that means the TV is likely decently made.
Sadly the software side has some issues but hey ! At least the TV will look shiny and impress some of your guests who are ... less informed of TVs ! I've numerous friends who buy new TV for this exact purpose ! Just don't put them next to one of the Big 4 flagships.(Pana , Sony , Samsung or LG's )
LG's LCD TV = Unless you can find one that is a lot cheaper than their OLED counterparts, nope. Most of these models in MY are also IPS TV , meaning they have much lower contrast than the other type of LCD.
H brands= I don't condone TV brands that hire criminals and ex-convicts to promote their TV. It just shows how desperate they are.
Which H brand? Got two H brand. 🤔Since it is end of the year, TVs are getting major discount. With a little bit of bargaining skills and discount awareness , perhaps you might snatch a top tier TV with a 7k budget.
