Hi guys, would you recommend xiaomi tv a pro series?
I don’t really care much for the brand especially with my philips led panel failed after 1 year + Also is the user interface for the built in android tv smooth enough? The ambient tv from philips tv feels even laggier than my first gen mibox This post has been edited by alucard89: Aug 18 2024, 09:13 AM |

QUOTE(khusyairi @ Aug 14 2024, 02:55 PM) I put this post so that people can see what TVs that suppose to buy as at August 2024. I had & already own multiple brands for each room & area for each my houses. Hi, for the sharp tv does it support dolby vision/atmos? It’s not too clear on their websiteFor most people 55"-70" TV, already good enough. Basically term buy the biggest TVs that U can afford still true as normally big TVs normally have more features or flagship. Chinese brand TVs like TCL, Xiaomi, Hisense, Skyworth have a lot features & value for money. U can buy the one with QLED, Dolby Vision, ALLM, HDR 10+, Dolby atmos etc about RM2k. However from my experience in past 5 years; some electronic failure will come in 2-5 years such as power board, backlight etc. U can ask any technician, normally electronic failure will come earlier for Chinese brand. Philips TVs also fail early. It still true until now. If want best picture quality; until now I can confirm that LG, Samsung & Sony are the best. Yes Chinese brand also using LG LCD (for an example) as not many company can manufacturer it by their own. But of course LG & Samsung will keep the best & the latest for their own TVs. However, between this brand for me; reliability of Sony is not really good. All 4 units of Sony that my family own broken in between 2-4 years. Yes, some new LG & Samsung also not reliable but depend on luck (it just not as fast as Sony). I do own 15 years old LG which still working but some new one also need to be repair like Sony. The one which more reliable for me are Sharp, Toshiba or Panasonic. But normally the price is not cheap as Chinese brands which come with bells & whistles. But rarely this Japanese brand need to be repair. Maybe U can expect it to last 5-10 years. Price maybe higher bcoz they use more quality & reliable part. However picture quality surely behind LG, Samsung & Sony (basically 1 step behind). If u put it side by side, then u know. If put different room, it wont matter much. The most basic spec for Sharp 65" (4TC4tc65fj1x) also about RM2.2k. Even Xiaomi A Pro 65" or basic TCL 65" are cheaper about RM500; it will come with Dolby Vision, HDR 10+ etc.. For RM2.2k-2.5k can already get QLED Chinese brand TVs (which basically come with a lot of features). Of course if money non issue, just buy high end OLED TVs I guess there is no perfect TVs or brand. Depend what criteria u want. |
