I just got this phone, it not lag but the screen response time is not that good. You can see the trail (aka ghosting) if your eye sensitive enough. Still, its responsive enough.I upgraded from Mi4 and thats the first one I noticed.

The camera in low light is pretty abysmal too but you can offset this by using HDR bit that made the camera slow to take pictures.

Anyone root this phone yet? I havent updated it yet, just unlocked the bootloader. This phone is so new it doesn't even have custom recovery yet 

Other than the screen, performance is great. I play epsxe emulator and run smoothly. Switching between task and opening apps also great because the extra gig of RAM. I'd say its much faster than Mi4. And runs very cool, Mi4 heats up when gaming and sometime when browsing even when underclocked but not on this phone.

but still a flagship once upon a time, even the samsung note 3 snadragon 800 hardly encounter lags during these days apps.

Main gripe with the phone is the slight touchscreen latency. My previous zenfone 2 has lower latency

I have the same problem. I think my headphone jack may be too 'fat' for the port, coz even if i plug it in completely, it will pop out if i accidentally twisted it lightly.

May need to find an earphone adapter that's slimmer, i think.

i got mine from ALL IT shop. they sell it in rrp RM1099 but if u add another 39 to have 2 years warranty with free screen replacement for first year

Bro, shd have buy from lazada for RM829 and buy the Samsung evo plus SD card 64GB at RM80.
u could have save RM80 for ur accessories... wasted...

compare mi6 with A1
mi6 phone smaller but way more expensive

Short Review after a day
- feel,design and quality of the phone is great
- battery is amazing so far,100% at 11pm last night and I still have 33% as of now. Quite suprised as it's 3000mah only
- very light and minimalist OS without bloatware.makes really smooth and snappy.
- as this is pure Android,it might not suit some users as it has minimal features
- would have preferred more options to wake the phone instead of just the power button as of now

#fingerprint lah!

- volume control/silent shortcut on the drop-down would be nice too.

In summary,great phone and a refreshing change to use one.loving it so far

Yeah,I found out the dnd acts as silent button activation ,but can't do vibrate.
