hi all.. i just bought this awesome device last two days.. and I'm running with umobile.. I've got one problem though while using Waze my GPS signal lost when the coverage drop from 4G to 3G.. is there anyone here facing the same problem? it's quite irritating.. 😡😡

yes you've got VoLTE..

you're using u mobile too? for me it did happened when the signal dropping.. I don't have a chance to try another telco yet..

the GPS signal is superbly function when I'm connected to WiFi.. are you using umobile?

maybe celcom didn't face this problem.. I've inserted the APN settings given by the customer service.. still face the problem.. 🤒

yes.. I've to change manually the coverage at mobile networks settings from 3g to 4g then the GPS lock again.. it seems our device don't support H+ signal kot.. 😧

for me using this beast and umobile carrier give me a headache with GPS..
don't know why when the coverage turn to 3g suddenly i lost my GPS signal on my waze..
i manage to get new simcard(prepaid just to test/other telco) and it works flawlessly.. no problem at all even though on 3g signal..

yup.. it needs strong signal data to fully operate..

yes.. updated it this morning.. so far no issues occur.. but it is not oreo update.. just some bugs fixes and update security patch

what telco do you use? before mi a1 I used rn3.. got issue with umobile.. same goes to mi a1.. insert 2nd sim card hotlink.. now normal already..

mine also 2pin plug.. black color.. can we just check at the regulatory information.. got mcmc logo inside there.. 🤔

just check with the "check your label" apps.. both of imei numbers certified by mcmc..

I've already report this matter tu umobile cs.. but no action taken.. sigh..
thinking of porting to other telco after my contract with umobile ends..

I know.. but then I've experienced the problem.. when using umobile while 4g signal it's normal but then drop to 3g my GPS signal lost.. I don't have this problem with maxis(hotlink) coverage either 4g or 3g signal..

you should noticed it when the signal drop from 4g to 3g.. that is the time when the GPS signal lost.. either waze or Google maps..

see.. umobile is the problem.. 🤒 🤕

apparently I need the data to monitor the real time traffic too.. so no use using this method.. thanks for sharing bro.. 👍 👍 👍

I think so.. so hard to get 4g nowadays unless I change it at the settings.. and some more with the gps locking problem... hopefully they will overcome this problem soon..
