Hey guys. I was a redmi 3s pro user. I do not have good impression on redmi phone (Sorry for being skeptical). I faced some bug where I can't even find the solution from MIUI forum. Below are the problem I faced last time :
1) Camera hard to focus 2) Mobile Network stuck at Edge when go to isolated area and it will never go back to H+ or 4G even you have reach the place where there having a good coverage (need to restart phone or enable location and on google maps) Yes, it is a bug! 3) Phone hang for 7-10 seconds when unplug charging cable before it can be use.
Until the born of MiA1, I started to grow interest on the pure android phone. So I wanna ask owners here, did you guys facing the same problems as I mentioned? Otherwise I might consider to buy this phone.
Had Redmi Note and Redmi Note 3. RN3 is my gaming phone while day to day use Nexus.
Don't have the problems which you mentioned when I was using both phones regularly. Photo quality not great but I usually tap to focus to make sure focus on right spot.
Yup even my bro is using RN3 doesn't give him a problem. I think is just redmi 3 cos 2 my colleagues facing same problems. So guys so far has yet to discover any problem on A1? Silky smooth ?
I had experience with problem no 1. I dont know why the camera hard to focus. When take pictures always blurry. Need to hold phone around 5-8 seconds to take proper picture. I used Redmi 1s and now redmi 3s prime but this problem cant solved. Even my old SE W580 got better picture in fast mode.

How about this A1 phone? I usually need to take close up photo for working purpose, I know handphone camera is not the ideal but at least something convenient that I can bring out. I'm using Honor 6 now and I personally think the camera snap close up photo is better than RN3 / 4.
But 919 still consider cheap already, I bought mine at 949 Me too, most of the time needs to take macro photo of tiny products. But you must be careful with this phone. If you put the lens very close to the subject and the camera failed to focus (I use tap to focus), it still beep, and the picture turn out to be out of focus.
This A1 I bought for my son, I personally using the outdated Galaxy Note 3 . When my Note 3 failed to focus, the focus area turned red and warn me with failed to focus sound.
What I did was trying the same distance of snapping photo between RN4 and Honor 6, Honor 6 focus is definitely better.
I did some test on A1 when I visit to Direct D, it the focusing seems ok. Will definitely try again and test more on close up photo again.
That's why at least did but it can't help. Miui forum teach to on the location and switch on google maps, well it works but kinda annoying. Another method is put a micro SIM card into the second sim slot.
Download some app for screen on / off. After activated, finger scan not working anymore. To awake phone will need password or pattern lock only.
Any idea why?
Yes probably the apps has tweak on the android based security system.
I never use any security to unlock my lock screen until recently I installed my company email apps into my phone, that mail apps force me to set password or pattern to ensure I hv properly lock my phone.
