Hello!

I'm joining the A1, after my long-battle with the Note 3 (4 years, battery also 4 years original it can only last nearly 1 hour 30 min and ngam ngam die when trade-in for A1 during phone check).

I'm was torn between Lenovo P2 and A1, unfortunately, there's isn't any Lenovo P2 for me to hold and feel (yes, I know can buy from Lazada. but I wanna hold and feel it)

Any sifus pro in Rooting + Xposed here? Titanium Backup? CF Lumen? Magisk? bypass Bank App?
*
Recently I lost my P2 during my recent holiday trip. I'm considering to get the Mi A1. But after azhar75 point out what I'm going miss if go for Mi A1.. i'm leaning to get the P2 back (i miss the battery life esp).. damnn hahha still in dilemma

Ko, yes just UI different.

Aivihc, how different is stock android? Any cons? I always hear pros but not cons and i dun belief.

"An Android smartphone and tablet brand from Google that is "pure Android," meaning that there are no added user interface features or extra apps from the device maker or carrier, many of which cannot be removed by the user."

Every OS has Pros and Cons. Believe or not it depends on user experience (no harm to try tough). Some people like fancy GUI, as for me I like simple and clean (even my wallpaper on phone/desktop all black tongue.gif )

sharing biggrin.gif

my setting spot metering - low contrast - low saturation - normal sharpness

i prefer pastel look

my short review for the cam.. its was ok. one thing i hope is.. if they can update/upgrade the camera software, there's a shutter lag even tough in good lighting condition.

tough i don't really fancy camera phone (since im using mirrorless) but it does good job thumbsup.gif

You're nice lo, because your cellular reception is good. Better cellular reception = better battery life, it's tested and proven in XDA. Even when you're not using Internet 2G/3G/4G, the reception has an effect on battery life.
*
Agreed. It does contribute battery efficiency +/-

Great picture. We need more people who mastered the skill of bokeh effect to post their original photos here. Can you try to master the cat looks clear while everything especially the front grass blur?  hmm.gif
*
thanks.
sure can but that's more like tilt shift effect if front also blur (looks too 'fake' for my taste sweat.gif )
anyway I will try post/spam picture in time tongue.gif

Honestly, for the price, the camera is pretty good. dual camera set ups still seem gimmicky to me more than anything - in low end phones.

But it's decent. Dynamic range may not be so good and the lack of OIS is a pity, but otherwise a good camera that takes more than decent photos and okay-ish videos.
*
If ada OIS of coz price will go up also.. I can't find any phone below RM1k with OIS/EIS

What I hope is they can upgrade/update the cam software (if possible?) make it more snappy less shutter lag

I am in dilemma of getting Mi A1 or Mi 5x. Apparently 5x pricing is at higher side and 32/64gb ROM.  Not many seller online as well. You guys have any advise?
*
True. DarkNite

Stock android I can assume is not for everyone cup of tea.. some might feel troublesome to install other apps. I suggest u go for 5x if u really used to MIUI environment.
