To be honest my old mi note LTE, can feel laggy due to 3gb ram only, but processor is Snapdragon 801. Even worst than Snapdragon 625 series. So far just let go and instead of mi A1 so far so good.. Hardware cannot guaranties and even now you own a flagship. Yup just buy now and enjoy now..
