Had bad experience with this router that I bought from 11street.my from a shenzhen vendor which I just received last week.

1. 5ghz wifi doesn't work since day 1
2. Updated to latest firmware 3.0.0.4.384.32797 doesn't fix 5ghz discovery problem
3. After i changed region from China to Singapore under advance wifi setting, both wifi and ethernet becomes undiscoverable.
4. After flashing latest firmware with ASUS Firmware Restoration version 2.1.0.1 tool under rescue mode, the router auto restart every 10 second.

Totally gave up on this particular router, requesting exchange. Hopefully the Shenzhen vendor responds. Too bad because I read good reviews from tech blogs but bad feedback in forums.

All the while I thought that Asus carry a 3-year warranty - no?

Guys, need advice. I got turboed to 800Mbps. Manage to blunder through my AC86U setup so internet is up but speedtest upload and download only about 95Mbps. So I assume my ethernet cable is the problem cos it seems like cat5 only.

Shopping now for new ethernet. Thing is, should I get cat6 or just cat5e will be sufficient?

Update: AC86U came with cat5e cable    but now download is about 430 and upload is 200. 

So what else need I do to get better speed?

my AC86U died yesterday. Suddenly no power at all. Where can i get repair for this model? Its china set. Using for about 1.5 years.
NOe bought a new one from local seller malaysia set.. thinking if can repair the old one and do aiMesh..
