ASUS does not provide international warranty for their routers
That's a lie by the seller to convince gullible buyers to buy from them

If you buy it from China, you have to send it back to China
If you buy it from US, you have to send it back to US
If you buy it from Singapore, you have to send it back to Singapore

I can get full speed of my 800Mb/s on Steam, UPlay, Origin, Battle.net & Epic Game Store
And downloading directly from HTTP/HTTPS can get 800Mb/s too depending on the server and the file size

Some files is too small to even reach 800Mb/s download speed

I can get those speeds just fine on my RT-AC86U & GT-AC5300
But I would strongly suggest you to buy RT-AX88U instead. Future ready for wireless AX / Wi-Fi 6

Also, buy ASUS Malaysia unit, not imported units, not China units
ASUS Malaysia only provide support for ASUS Malaysia units. China unit you have to send back to China for warranty claims, and that's not an easy process

Buy from local unit lah, later your router rosak, very hard to RMA
ASUS Malaysia does not provide support for units purchased from overseas

If you're looking at hardware upgrade, yes, huge improvement over RT-AC86U
But if you're looking at performance upgrade, unknown as there is not much review of this model

Wish blacktubi would review it soon & compare it head to head with RT-AC86U & also RT-AC68U

But then the RT-AX56U is rather problematic

Set the 5GHz band to 80MHz like the screenshot below



I always get 600Mb/s on my devices. Even behind a brick wall & about 30 meters away from the router

Not really but it's always a good idea to restart your router after you change some major settings
Remember to set the 80MHz only on 5GHz-1. Leave 5GHz-2 on 40MHz

The reason is because some older devices may not support 80MHz

The gaming mode can run on any wireless signal
But nevertheless, I don't enable gaming mode on my GT-AC5300 because I don't like the QOS feature
If the QOS is enabled, I can never get full 800Mb/s even on Ethernet connectivity

The only reason I bought GT-AC5300 was because during it's launch, it's the only router with quad core CPU, 8 Ethernet ports & dual gigabit bonding feature that I use for my home server

By the way, did my suggestion to change 80MHz bandwidth fixed your internet speed issue?

Both of them is a waste of money

Just buy an M.2 to PCI converter & an Intel AX200 WiFi card then you can build your own PCI-e Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.0 receiver for less than RM100
