QUOTE(evofantasy @ Aug 4 2007, 10:45 PM) what lakers need are good point guard and kidd is the guy who can support kobe and of course the rest of the team... Kidd makes space and plays for ordinary players and with Kobe, you got a one man scoring machine.reason why kobe is so piss off at lakers last season is due to th lack of support that he need makign it 1 man team... forward wise they already got kobe why need another forward? kobe is those atatcking players that outshines any forwards anytime... |

he did have an awesome final All Star game. Would have won the game were it not for Kobe. But I must say, most of the stars went easy on MJ that game.

Kobe, stop your drama and do what you do best. We don't need another Gilbert Arenas. I really bore of your shit. Lakers, sign a f***ing star to ease the burden of Kobe, will you. Odom is NEVER ever gonna be a 20-10 player so stop shitting yourselves and do not even think of shitting us with Shawn Bradley statues who do nothing but run.

It is just frustrating times with the Lakers. We have one star and we need another to be a contender! Otherwise, we'll be in oblivion for decades like the Celtics

Allen is a great player but he is not an all star team starter in the West by any means. As for Garnett, well it would be interesting to see them fare in the NBA but my money is on the Celtics not to win due to a lack of depth. I don't care if they bring back Wilt from the dead, they ain't gonna be able to win with old fags feeding on a hope to win their first ring
as for the lakers, competitive isn't enough for the Lakers. XD |

QUOTE(evofantasy @ Aug 18 2007, 06:12 PM) garnett is all star material but i agree allen aint... If someone like Dwayne Wade could bring the magic, I don't see why KG can't. Don't get me wrong, I believe the starting team of the Celtics can be world beaters. They have 82 games find chemistry but I just don't see them having enough gas to last the marathon.celtics being the first season together wont win this season... no chemistry and stuffs... basketball is a teamplay game after all... jz like rockets last time... big names but injury and miscomunication... Added on August 18, 2007, 6:39 pmAnd I don't see Yao as a great player. You talk about him being double teamed and triple teamed but great players get past that, don't they? I find him lethargic in NBA pace. This post has been edited by kobe8byrant: Aug 18 2007, 06:39 PM |

About Yao, statistics don't lie but liars use statistics. I am not saying Yao isn't a good player but it takes more than stats to judge him. I think we need to see him play to be honest. I mean Yao could be raking in points when the game is over (when Rockets have lost or won already but him still in it against second team) and he could be monster against small teams but whimper against giants. I am sorry, he is to prone to foul trouble and when he is not, he doesn't deliver.

I fear for Durant to be honest. I think good draft picks need to be in a good team as well. Look at Okafor. I thought he was brilliant in his rookie season, not brilliant brilliant but brilliant
As for Yao, say what you want about two types of centres, I don't care. A good player should do it both ways. Kobe is good defensively as he is offensively. trying to justify his defensive frailties because of his "attack mindedness" is rubbish if you were to ask me. |

Actually as a neutral, what is it in the Lakers do you see that I myself as a fan don't?
Odom is a good player but not one that can take LA to the next level. Kobe is Kobe as usual. Bynum? He needs to improve A LOT. Too much in foul trouble to be even a bench player! Mihm? I don't see him as a star but I would like to see what Radmanovic and Sasha can offer though. If anyone thinks Derek is all they need, they need to get stoned. If Gasol is anything like Paul then we can be optimistic D |

Boston are exciting but by no means a championship contending team. I am sorry but as I have said, Pierce is as good as he could have been. He's one the downward spiral from few seasons back. When Walker-Pierce ended, Pierce ended with it. The Renaissance of Pierce? My yellow arse. So for me, Pierce will and should probably be the leader of the second stringers but I do not see that happening simply because Pierce is Pierce, a name with a big reputation. Seeing Celtics go all the way for Miller shows unbelievable signs of desperation. 7 for 1 trade showed INTENT but by no means are the Celtics a championship contending team.
BTW, good to see you back Johnathan |

QUOTE(-Jonathan- @ Aug 19 2007, 06:45 PM) Melo + Iverson...the forgotten pair Trouble with the Zen Master, one has to wonder if he has gone soft. I doubt he would have tolerated egos bigger than him in the past. The game has changed, he hasn't and that isn't a good thing if you asked me. He couldn't handle the Fab 4 in the end.Denver does have a rounded team, with Camby post up, they have a complete role, but again, camby is always injured, Iverson's age is catching up, Melo is volatile Pierce has NOT been getting the support from players around him. Sad to say, but true to the fact. I dont really like him as a player, but i have to tip my hat to him, for his perseverance. This should be a breakout year for him, it will be up to Doc Rivers to play they team correctly, though i'll prefer the master zen himself to deal with such blockbuster team |

Malone should never have played. he f***ed his knee and was adamant to play. that caused the Lakers. As for Payton, yes, I do concur somewhat that he had been off and on but the triangle JUST DIDN'T SUIT PAYTON!
and Virgil, what Adolf trick? |

I am glad Duncan, Garnett aren't in it. I think they make it a little full to be honest. Having players like Howard and Miller who won't play much in the post season is a good thing for the nationals. and isn't it good to see how Kidd played that many minutes and din't have any points? shows that they aren't just raking points for themselves,

i know but it reflects in the team. when one person is unselfish, others too arent. from the stats, kobe, howard and redd are the stars.
Added on August 24, 2007, 1:05 amwhat was the starting lineup? if it is stoudamire-howard, my god, can't imagine the opposition's face. the two towers. This post has been edited by kobe8byrant: Aug 24 2007, 01:05 AM |
