I understand that many girls like the same things.

Flowers, designer handbags, jewelry, etc

However, I take issue with buying such overpriced luxury goods simply for the brand name on the bag, or the box, in the case of jewelry.

Flowers die in the end, and she is the kind who stubbornly refuses to throw them away after decomposition.

Example:

I was looking at Tiffany bracelets. Rm500 for a small charm + bracelet. Cheap silver with plated gold. (Only worth rm50-100 if you buy brandless, similar charm on Lazada).

I find it tough, as a guy, to pay so much money for a brand name. (My friend owns a gold shop, so i know a lot about true cost of jewelry)

For handbags, girls already have 4-7 of em, I dont want to blow $ just for it to sit in the closet.

I've taken her out to nice dinners, but asides from memories, there is nothing solid for her to remember me by. (I'm going overseas to study, so LDR)

Any suggestions /k?

My idea:
Desiccated flowers?
Nice Bluetooth headphones? <<< leaning towards this
Custom keychain/bracelet/necklace?
Year subscription to netflix?

Budget rm300 or less.. flexible if gift is worth it

You buy Tiffany, Van Cleef and Arpels & those brands for their branding. Half of the amount you paid is for the marketing and etc.

My advice is, don't shell money on something you can't afford. It's just a girl.

It's when you are capable to walk into those stores and purchase without hesitation, that's when you know you should spend that kinda money for a girl.

The act of gifting is not about you. It's about the person receiving the gift. You should not impose your value system on that person. Always give a gift the person you know will like up to your comfortable affordability level.

If your gf likes bags,it doesn't matter how many she already has she just likes them. So give her one. She will appreciate it more. But some suggestions in general which I've given, leather goods (bags, wallets), watch(es), iPhone/iPad, hobby related stuff (stationery, art supplies), jewelry (not from Lazada). Good luck

Within your budget, hard to get good Bluetooth headphones. A good pair of Sony would be above RM500. My pair is over RM1000 and that's still mid level.

Since you're still studying how bout a nice engraved pen? Or Swarovski stardust bracelet or a nice watch?

Flowers & dinner would be the best bet.

Anything more is overkill (since you are a student).

And like a care package with snacks.

As long as what you get => Makes her happy.

400 for that burger & lobster is such a waste laugh.gif I rather just order a proper lobster for 400 bucks tongue.gif

400 + 300 from your budget = Can get something cheap from Tiff & Co dy.

You don't understand nor care why they are into those stuff, yet you are willing to fork out a tidy sum to impress them. I take it the person you're trying to impress isn't into you yet. If you think gifts are the way to their heart, you're in for a self-esteem bashing.

Headphone: Jabees B Sport (Roughly RM100 in Lazada & 11Street).

If you want something different & practical, try skincare. She'll remember you each day as she uses it. Basic ones like moisturizer e.g. hand cream or body lotion if you'r clueless. If you're more knowledgeable & knows her preference, then cleanser, toner, face creams, lip balm etc.

The point of gifting is to show how much you're willing to give one part of you to the other. Be it of something monetary or sometimes even Time.

But regardless of what you give, if the person really cares about you, Even a simple homemade omelette will make her happy...... but of course dont be cheap all the time la. at least can be reflected on some portion of your salary.

Fuyooo student nowadays...

What if my little opinion here, no gift should serve as anything solid for her to remember you.
If the girls really loves you, then she appreciate and cherish the relationship with you. Not the 'value/gift' itself.
If you just felt you have never bought/make her anything before and you like to give her one to just serves like a symbol or something, maybe... a simple necklace, or a cute soft toys..
That don't even need more than RM100 la.

What she would appreciate in LDR is,
- you still think about her
- care about her
- helps her when she in need (ldr a bit hard but if u tries at most u can, she can feel it aye?)
- arrange time and date to video, greet each other
- share days/stories
- arrange time to meet/travel once a while
- your loyalty

ayam work as a cook before lol.

scramble eggs... you need a pot/pan with a thick bottom and a soft spatula. then with a cold pan, drop in your butter and whisk it up non stop to avoid getting those brown marks. take it in and out of the flame.. the thick bottom pot/pan will keep the heat. continue putting it over and off the flame while whisking untill your butter fully melted and mixed into the eggs... that's a sign that the eggs are warm enough and can be served anytime. Depending one how cooked you want it to be.

or you can do bain-marie and whisk for a french one and never will burn the eggs. But it will take almost forever to cook.
