Been saying that Valencia is overrated. He can't cross, can't beat his opponent, can't pass with his left foot. He's too one dimensional. The ball reaches him, all momentum is dead. Rather play Darmian here but JM being JM always having his favorites.

When was the last time Valencia crossed or his crosses beat the first defender. The defender just need to cover the byline and Valencia doesn't know what to do. Then pass back.

He's a better defender than Valencia. Valencia only advantage is that he can run back fast and cover.

Lukaku can't dribble in a small space, Miki has disappeared in the last few games, Matic got dispossessed a number of times with Herrera, Baily playing quite nonchalantly, and when the subs entered, nothing much they could do to create chance cause the 1st eleven were already playing at a laboured pace.

Darmian cause isn't helped by the fact he hasn't been played in his main position (RB) for many games in a row to build up momentum. Often shafted to LB, Benched.

Tony doesn't really contribute much to the team offensively at all imo. At least you can see Young attacking the flank and sending a few crosses in.
Tony just run, see defender, pass back. Even when he's close to the box, he still can't beat the defender and just pass back. It makes our offense very predictable. Not only for this game but the past few games.
When the team is playing well, his weakness isn't that glaring and he can focus defensively. But when the team needs an outlet for attack, here's where he fails.

If we were change fullbacks, I rather we change Tony first before LB. Not singling him out for this defeat but his position is one of the priority for replacement imo. When you don't have creativity in the middle of the park, your flanks is the next best weapon.

The number 10 has no one to do quick passes to, do you know why? Our rb,lb,cm all didnt make run off the ball. If you still didnt see we have multiple player need upgrade then im not sure since when you started watching manutd play.

I have been saying valencia and the lb, or rw need upgrading. I never rated valencia as best rb in premier league...i have been criticising him ever since he play so one dimensional in RW!

this season is definately gone unless we keep winning (including 2 manchester derbies) and city lost another 1 or 2 games...which i dont see it happening at the moment...
at least we are better compared to under moyes and LVG...losing to one of the big 6 is never good but we are still second and everyone is upset because every team challenging for the title is now being compared to man city...they do have a 8 point lead and doesnt look like even drawing a match let alone losing one...we just have to maintain this gap (hope it recudes somehow) until the first manchester derby, which is a MUST win game for us...

players wise...we have not been performing well since that liverpool game...maybe it is a mental switch which is difficult to switch from defending to attacking just like that...JM needs to devise a plan if his defending plan goes wrong when we conceded first...hope pogback returns soon
