My cafe in PJ is at prime location. Lot of people walking pass everyday, maybe due to nearby banks around.

There are always people pop into my cafe to pinjam toilet, of course, they are not our customers. Some more, my cafe is non-halal, but still there are awek and pakcik to come in to use our toilet for free.

ok, i let you people use the toilet free, the water is free to you, also the tissue is free to you. then you make my floor wet, water tap never off properly and let water run wastefully. and your dirty shoes with tahi anjing step all over my cafe.

RM 1 per entry.
RM 1 for tissue.
RM 1 for water.

Confirm they won't use again.

Put some other sign to ward off the non-halal non paying customers. Please recummend one.

u really hv tricky issue there

put a security coded or passcard locked door for the toilet which only customers are given the codes.
If non-customers want to use the toilet, they have to go to the counter, pay up and only then get the code/passcard.

I have been in this situation a few times. Sometimes when "emergency"... I will use the facility at mamak restaurant. When all is done before walking out of the restaurant... give the cashier RM1.

Some cashier will said "tak payah la bos", some cashier will put the money in "tabung derma masjid" thats usually besides the cash register.

1. lock the toilets
2. hang a big sign to read 'toilet is for paying customers only' in 4 languages
3. train your staff to greet these people and say no when they ask for the keys.

this only applies when its maruah challenging

but when it comes own selfishness, halal haram it doesnt apply anymoar

its super easy, put a signboard there, kindly ask staff for accessing toilet then lock it up -- solved

out of 100, i think only 10 thicked face non-customer people will dare to ask staff to open, but at least you avoid the 90

you can charge them, they do that in Europe.

Toilets in Europe are not free, they charge for using toilets at MacDonalds, even for paying customers.

Can charge non-customers. RM1 per entry.

Is your cafe, order and pay first, then serve the food? If yes, then assign a junior staff to look after the toilets. Ask for receipt, to allow to use toilet.

A bit troublesome. Customers may complain. Maybe you put up a notice there, nicely written. Ppl will understand.

Make sure the toilets are clean and dry all the time. Ppl don't mind paying.

Some mcd in Europe do that, if their outlets are small. Big ones ok, can pretend to be customers then go toilet first. Haha.

Just put a sign there " Toilet For Customer Only ", normally when ppl saw the sign will not go in. Unless some emergency case.

And train ur staff, if observe non-customer using the toilet. Charge them
