Durian kira biji bro.

I remmber when i kid, durian too many, 1 biji sell for 0.50$

Now not try to be racist, but Chinese people start to implement the price per kilo, they start to export the durian to other country too for more profits, as result price increase kaw kaw, since we got less stock.

Malay also follow after that price per kilo, only some still dint follow yet like in Batu Kurau.

Now malay people in batu kurau started to tanam musang king in mass quantity, expect the price to drop kaw2 by next 3-5 years from now.

I support this. My family and I havent eaten in like 3/4 years.

Paying for the shell is plain dumb.

Durian == Rich man fruits

Udang XL & XXL and Mud Crabs == Rich Man Sea Food

The last time  had durian was like 6-7 years ago.

Well, you can choose not to buy - and let them export everything to China. And believe me when i say there are such demand volume for that. If only 1% of china population eat durian, that is also 4x our population.

Plus, where got ppl berniaga like that one. Just because I can sell to China at higher price, I should be thankful for extra margin for china sales, and reserve some volume to sell to local cheap prices. It's a bonus ady? Bodo ke apa?

If it's me, i will sell everything to the highest bidder. If china offer high price vs local (high enough to offset duty etc), then i will sell everything there.

Previously, sales volume to china isn't high cause they impose a quota on us. they only take thailand durians that time. Now it has been lifted.

Seems like so many people here don't understand the concept of supply & demand and keep blaming those traders. kek

Like I said if they can sell everything to china they would have already done it. Since the quota has been lifted why are they still not exporting everything there? Do bear in mind we're not the only ones exporting durians there. If China has the volume to take up all the durian supply then no one will export to Singapore la. How come still got ppl export to sg?

because China bulk buyers are very picky they don't want durians lower spec their what they asked for.

That's my point exactly, not all of the durians from here can be exported there. If can, they would have already done it.

Supply and demand bro? you think you playing computer game every country offer one price?

To illustrate, say we have 1m supply. China got 3m demand, but out of that only 500k willing to pay 100. Malaysia got 700k demand, but only kick miao 200k willing to pay 100. Then Sg got 300k demand, but all 300k willing to pay 100.

So of course, the 1m supply will go to China (500k) Malaysia (200k) and Singapore (300k). Then the value of this supply is 100m (1m x 100). Rather all sell to one country China (500k paying 100, then the remaining 500k pay 80) where total sales value will be 90m.

Anyway this is just an illustration to explain. real life wouldn't be so simple.

It is expensive, bro. My recent durian session confirmed this. Bought the same species from roadside stall and tapau everything instead of eating there. The flesh was much cheaper compared to buying AEON pre-packed ones.
