For Dota2, 144Hz is better for smooth panning and cursor movement, but not much for overall gaming experience. Yes with higher refresh rate you can see something happens quicker about few milliseconds compared to conventional 60Hz but what matters most is still your responsiveness.

But still, if you can afford for a better monitor then why not ? tongue.gif

While for choosing between 144Hz or Ultra wide, I would say you need to decide on the thing you want to focus on. 27 144Hz is great for gaming but wouldnt help much for your reading/video editing works. You can opt for an IPS panel for better color reproduction, or 1440p monitor for a higher resolution viewing experience. Ultra wide monitor will definitely fulfill all your needs in your reading/editing works, but playing Dota2 on an Ultra wide monitor is awful. The HUD skins will be stretched, and the minimap/KDA/Quickbuy/Network status which located at each corner are too far for you to see them easily and you probably need to swing your head like very frequent. The good side is that you will have a wider field of vision? Not sure about this I referred to here.
