i just checked briefly with c-zone's price list. there is only one in the similar price range that i will pick (note: this is personal preference), wd blue 3d-nand version. however, wd blue 250gb is myr 368, 3-year warranty; samsung 850evo 250gb is myr 362, 5-year warranty

the rest i didn't check because they are of different classes.

if it's a crucial mx500, i guess it's ok. it has better endurance rating than 850 evo. however the smi controller that it uses is usually performing poorly from past reviews. maybe things have changed.

all in all, since you have bought it, just enjoy its speed. within its limit it still performs fairly well

edit: most mainstream sata ssds actually have very little performance differences, since most of them have already saturated the limit of sata since few years ago. if the ssd uses 3d-nand, just look at the controller, presence of dram, endurance rating, and warranty period to justify your purchase.

when you get to know more about ssds you will be somewhat picky on internals so just ignore them

crucial is actually a good brand for ssds. they screwed up few times in the past but my ancient crucial drives are still working fine hehe

don't worry about it. my crucial m500's are also 5 years old already, and they are still running fine

ssds actually helps resolve the obvious bottlenecks of hdd, especially storage iops. however they're not cure-all
